What a great time to be in the market for a new audio interface. This is definitely on my list. I love where they went with this. I do, however, have my reservations about the Synergy Core lineup of audio interfaces: apparently the initial set up is a nightmare (lots and lots of issues). I would love for this to be just plug-and-play. I was hoping that this video would speak on whether that is still and issue or not. Could you please share your thoughts on this?
I run the Discrete 4 SC and Zen Go. I went with Antelope because Universal Audio had a terrible reputation for windows users and I personally spent weeks trying to troubleshoot their Apollo interfaces on PC. I’ve never had a problem with either Antelope device in 3+ years. I’m now on Mac and it’s equally flawless. Antelope had some growing pains when they started making affordable non-rack unit devices but that seems to be a thing of the past. I highly recommend any new interface they’re releasing. I’m going to ditch both of my units for this one I think!
I was sold with your ZenQ video and had so many problems and pain that now on will avoid everything related to Antelope. But that case brought me to RME and thank you for that, lol.
@@imdurc Here are the biggest ones. 1 - Bridge plugin fx2daw. Buggy, useless, unstable. 2 - Cable and it's ports. It just didn't work. 3 - Drivers. What a genius decided to link drivers to an external server! No internet, provider blocked their IPs - it's dead. 4 - And the one that drove me nuts. Noise in guitar DI. I don't know if it was preamps or card itself but there was so loud static noise in DI that I barely could hear my guitar when amplified it. Palm mutes and chugs were drown in this noise. This is known issue, you can find a lot of posts about it. Support is useless. 1 year I tried to fix it, contacted them but the only thing they could say - it's ok, we don't see any problem. I wish all of Antelope's engineers to hear that noise to the rest of their lives. Fortunately I sold it even without losing money due to inflation. Bought RME UCX II and amazed with crystal clear DI.
Good day, help me please I'm having trouble with my zen q. The card makes a clicking sound when I move it when it's turned on with a microphone attached The second - I can’t adjust the balance for recording vocals in any way - from a quiet place to a loud place - there is an overload (on the previous 276 volts, there is simply no such problem) I tried applying compressors on the channel but it didn't help and I don't really understand if the signal remains raw if I add compression (because I need the raw files for post processing)

I purchased a Antelope Zen Q over 2 years and it clicks and pops , it gets loud high pitched whistle through it output and the only way to stop it is to unplug it , the DSP is NOT as good as i was told and randomly stops working , Next time i will buy Audient or preferably RME
If it’s Windows, you didn’t read the user manual where it tells you clearly to disable Windows audio enhancements and how to do it. I had the same problem but I can RTFM
Real question is driver stability and latency. Almost all of us are using VST's nowadays. Any thoughts on that? What kind of RTL were you getting and how low could you set the buffer without pops and clicks?
Does it have the Zen Go number of DSP or the Zen Q's DSP. If it has as much dsp as the Q this thing not only replaces the go but also the Zen Q. I recently purchased a Zen Q and really like it, but if it has the same or better specs and DSP I would have went with the quadro simply in being able to hook up both of my computers to a common interface. The idea of a device as a virtual mixer for multiple computers is very cool, one up on this would be to include a SSD of some sort or external USB device harddrive/ssd attachment option so it would also work as a shared drive to swap files on such as samples or recordings etc.. AND even one up on that would be the ability to save recordings to the drive.

Edit - I did have a moan about an issue but the support has been good and the bug in 2 of the plugins is being fixed and I was given my choice of 2 of their other plugins for free to make up for it so I’m extremely pleased with the device
I travel with the Quadro and have had none of these issues however I will say the Quadro is VERY picky about the cable you use. I would try another Thunderbolt cable and see if that changes anything.

so can it to 2 pairs of monitors, if yes, how would u control volume on the 2nd pair? on the line out volume?
The thing that stood out to me was the spdif in/out. cause I can track guitars with my helix through the zen quadro with zero latency.

Can all 4 combo jacks be configured as Hi-Z or just 2 of them? Can't see a manual on their site just yet.
based on the labeling of the jacks, just the front 2 probably.
All of them can
only front 2 preamps has got Hi-Z
Three of them ?
