    I started using the Montana primers a few years ago and have really enjoyed them. They can really take a beating. You can scrub with alcohol, gel medium, etc. and it won't chip, flake, or peel. This is ideal for using reverse highlight techniques. Or when you need to fix something, you can easily strip the acrylic paint using a Q-tip with alcohol and the primer will still be there.
    Glad to see this video as I just started painting a new army using the spray can techniques of your last video! This was a great refresher!

    I love your work with spray cans, I hate them however. I used the same spraycans as you and different ones. In excellent weather conditions, shaking for minutes (and i mean several minutes) after warming the cans in warm water... And i always get either a Tacky surface after spraying, that remains tacky for months (yes months), or a very protruding texture. Usually I would blame this on spraying it from a wrong distance from the model, but after so many tries and with distance adjustement - I just can't get it right. I thought too much paint or too long spray bursts? nope, happens with short bursts too. Any more secrets on that?

Almost always I feel like varnish is ruining my paint jobs, making my minis to look, well… painted. All time that I spent on creating different effects ruined.

    • @MarcoFrisoniNJM
      @MarcoFrisoniNJM  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a million man, super appreciated! I viscerally hate varnishing at the end and I never do it 😁! A coat of varnish totally kills the depth of the layers and the complexity of different finishes plus modern paints (modelling formulations in particular) are crazily tough and they don't need any extra protection so I really don't see the point in varnishing. But I use different varnishes while painting even mixed in the paint to create different finishes and visual effects!
