Loving Tallis on the show. Not afraid to question the players. Direct but fair.
I'm not even a Dragons fan but far out Gordie spoke well. 100% accurate. Lazy assessment to point the finger at Griffin.
Gordie was fantastic. Much better than Kent's screaming and raging. Clear, concise and didn't opt for the simple coach bashing. Hope they bring him on full-time.

I hope Kenty getting thrown in jail is first step to this show being completely revamped. The rhetoric needs to be less alarmist and more proper journalism.
Gordie telling it how it is adds so much credibility to the show. How could any player argue with what the Raging Bull has to say.
Gorden Tallis just a good honest straight shooter with real insight and more knowledge of the game than he is given credit for. Commands respect and not scared of anyone. Guys on this page clearly rate him. A lot less yelling without Kenty, others get to have a say.
Gordy spoke really articulately. Pity the idiot beside kept trying to talk over the top of him. How do the dragons improve with this ceo and board. They need to go.
Whenever I left a tigers game after a loss i always thought "I wonder who paul kent is gonna blame this time" i do not have to do that anymore

Its disappointing that Griffins dismissal was not handle with dignity and professionalism beffiting of a sporting organization involved in a multi mullion dollar sport. Gordie is spot on, his handle on various aspects of the game is next level.

Sacking the coach won’t change anything, our players just flat out not good enough. The dropped balls, constant dumb errors, and stupid penalties are hardly Griffin’s fault. Feel sorry for him, I wish him all the best
Totally agree they need to work on their own individual skill levels and see how they can contribute to the team. Sloan is a devastating ball runner but at an NRL level his support running and quick play the ball can just be as effective then throwing a nothing play and losing the ball. It’s not reserve grade level anymore.
A good coach will find a way to bring the best out of thier players. Look at how Shaun Johnson is playing under Andrew Webster compared to 1 year ago. Webster found a way to unleash his potential. If Dragons get a good coach and culture things can get a lot better
Please keep Gordon on this panel. It's so refreshing to have actual fact-based examples instead of blowhard journos saying their opinions as if they actually know anything.

The problem with mergers is both clubs have a lot of nepotism issues with who they believe should be awarded and end up compromising for unity. Which unfortunately doesn’t produce the best players on the field.

from a dragons fan here, he got let go bc of his game day decisions and favouritism, he was terrible with player management, we win with a lineup against the dolphins then the next weeks after lomax and jacob liddle get dropped, it was appalling, he was terrible, and honestly idc if ben hunt leaves, we got young guns like jayden sullivan who can fill his role
Not much difference they were still losing with both players in the team. Liddell compared to other standard hookers needs to work on the speed of the ruck. Lomax clearly has an attitude problem towards his own team and has become toxic.
Way more enjoyable with gordie on the panel
The whole dragons board should follow hook out the doors at dragons hq the whole organisation is broken the club needs a rebuild from the front office up it's gonna be a massive task and I don't know that a rookie coach will have the skill set needed to help

Well I am a V supporter , and I have no problem. These talking heads give me the shits. Tallis has undermined more of his own coaches than any of the Dragons players.

The real question is, is Anthony Griffin a real NRL coach? The stats are not in his favor for now!
Why would you get rid of a coach during the start or middle of the year, it is nothing but destined for failure, it has happened many times over the years, one very recent one being the Sharks two years ago when they got rid of Morris and basically shot themselves in the foot, they had a major chance to make the 8 and blew it by doing this exact thing, Dragons have basically crossed a line for this season, just let the coach play out the year and if you don’t want him to be there then you can get rid of him at the end of the year and start fresh next year, getting rid of a coach during the middle of the year is just stupidity. What benefit is it going to make getting rid of Griffith now, they’re better off keeping him for now than getting rid of him.

In 24 years they've had 8 coaches and looking for number 9, that tells me everything I need to know
1) Hook is an old school coach who didn't adapt to the new game by playing the older guys over and over.
2) terrible junior development. Our juniors (lomax Sloan Sullivan etc) have amazing potential. I think under Wayne, they'd be electrifying.
3) we need transparency regarding decisions and how much is board vs coach.
4) the dragons lack discipline. We do not hold the same standards as a Bellamy or bennett.
5) hopefully.. The players can dig into the rest of the season and show they're not just here for a pay check.

Wayne Bennett's super power is the developing plenty of connections and he's coached all the best players even from other countries. Most coaches do not have that at their disposal.

Moneyball you have to be joking. Hook buys some old guys that are super cheap because they are old has-beens and the game is much faster now these players don't have hidden value and he calls that him playing money ball - LOL. Moneyball is about finding value in players that are hidden/underpaid contracts the Dolphins are probably the best example of this right now.
Having Hunt on a huge contract also doesn't shout Moneyball logic. If you want to play Moneyball Dragons I'd suggest you let Hunt run out the door after hook and recruit Tridle & Connor Tracey from the Sharks ASAP and give Taric Simms a phone call because some of the anti-local trash recruitment needs to be undone and that wouldn't be a terrible start for Moneyball framework. No giving a 5 yr contract to rookie coaches.
