The lid simply does not fit, and dents appear on metal edging every time I put it on, off. After the couple try the edging fell off. I even never use the Kettle, as it fells apart. How it is possible?

How long have you had your kettle for? Have you had any issues with rust or corrosion I saw alot of reviews complaining bout that after a year.

That whistle seems to be broken. I just got a Le Creuset kettle similar to this one and it sounds much better.

Yes I made Indian cha in this kettle from past one year. And I love it.
What number on stove dial do you use when boiling your kettle?
Medium is best. High flames can cause discoloration on the sides of the kettle-especially if there is grease splash already there.

i trew mine away. way too expensive considering its mediocre quality. also a very pathetic flimsy whistle.
