Ice-T was a street dude, but he was under Time Warner. J Prince was a street dude, but not in LA. The only one who was close to doing what Suge did was Eazy, but even Eazy didn't fill his studio up with hardcore Crips and Bloods. Suge was doing an experiment and could only learn by trial and error. Also, hindsight is always 20/20. Both Dre & Suge were born in 65. They were only 26 year old men when they started Death Row and everyone under them was even younger. There were no older wiser men available to give consultation. They had to learn that on their own. Now putting in that perspective, I think Suge did a phenomenal job.
