BD has won percussion 12 times, the next number down is Cadets and SCV who've won it 9 times. then Cavies at 6 Bridgemen, Star and Phantom at 3 times each Anaheim Kingsmen and Spirit of Atlanta 1 time each. there have been 2 ties for percussion (1980 and 1992) and one 3-way tie (1991). Scott Johnson has single handedly been involved with the most percussion titles in DCI history: 2 as a member and 11 as staff all but one with BD; and the one he won in 1991's 3-way tie with SCV. hands down... the BD have been the most influential, driving force in percussion in dci history....no one else even comes close.
