Hammer or Hammer tool is a striking tool used for striking pupose in workshops.
Hammer is used for sriking purpose in following operations-
Punching,Bending,Straightening, Reveting,Forging etc.
Hammer is made of Drop forgrd carbon steel.Some hammer are made of brass,copper,wood and plastic.
Handle of hammer ia made of wood because wood absorb the shock produced by striking action.Shape of Handle is always oval.
Main parts of hammer are-
Face,Poll,Neck,Cheek,Wedge,Eye hole,Pein and Handle.
Types of Hammer are-
