Dylan, your project turned out really nice. It is great way to use up lost space in a wall and on a door. Nice that you are protecting the cards from UV light and from falling out with the plexiglass panels. 👍👍
Hi Dylan, Unbelievably well done! I am amazed by the attention to detail and creativity. I really shouldn’t be given your skills and talent in woodworking and design. The view of the koi pond is incredible. Thanks for sharing.
Terry, Thank you so much !!! One day I will have to show off all the ponds at my house. We have 7 Big ponds with 1'000s of koi me and my dad raise to sell and for fun. So glad you watched this one my friend :)
Wow... This is just brilliant with all of the intricate details and hinges to save space and for maximum efficiency. Great workmanship also! I always wondered what the rest of the room looked like. The pond area reminds me of Mr. Miyagi's backyard... Absolutely genius and I also saw some pretty awesome cards on those walls! Now when I see so many videos with epic cards in displays, I admit, it worries me. But you even thought out the U/V protection aspect and that is what I hope everyone else either already does - or learns to do it by watching this. I love it when a plan comes together... Well done, my friend!
Ben, Thankyou so much. Yes I learned the hard way with light protection although it wasnt cards that got ruined it was toys ha ha ha. I always kept my cards in the darkest places ,but I cant tell people enough to keep the light out and off your cards at all costs !!! All but my 80's card display get completely blacked out when I am not enjoying them. I also keep the room at a constant 70 degrees 24hrs a day. I did a bunch of research on museums and how to store things. Thank you again :)
I thought that was a pocket door, but you fooled me! If your collection grows, it seems like something has to give. Maybe build your wife her own display room?
Well actually its not that my collection is growing is basically the same size ,but more just about coming up with new Ideas on displays :) . There is still some wall space and ceiling space ha ha ha ha
Dylan, this was some incredible work. Now, I am feeling nostalgic and *inspired to watch some old episodes of Scooby Doo...maybe rereading a Nancy Drew book or something. Hidden doors and secret passages. But your room looks great. My favorite part of the video @9:52 🐢love
Andrew you completely nailed it on the head. Thats exactly how we feel when we enter this room. Its like time traveling. All the toys you see are litteraly the toys we played with as kids. I get lost staring at them for hrs dreaming of playing with the matchbox cars on the floor or building my legos. The card walls just take me back to a museum I used to visit as a kid that had cards displayed like this but now there all my own witch is nuts. Thank you dude.
@@DoubleDvintagebaseballcards You're welcome. I also like the thumbnail because it looks like you're talking to yourself again. I meant letting the cards speak to you. In their silence. Lol.
You have great design skills and execution skills. Great work ethic too. The UV glass is essential. Do you have to do anything special to protect against bugs and humidity in Hawaii?
Dylan that room is fantastic my friend! Your creativity and ability are amazing. One question for you, how come your wife's desk is so much neater than yours?😂 The view of the Koi pond from your desk is sick, thanks for taking us on this amazing tour!
Thank you Mike and its really simple actually. There are a few different panels of glass with 1 Screw in each row and the glass slides into a slot. So basically takes about 30 seconds to take the glass off. I use clear Velcro to keep the cards on the wall since it is straight up and down. I just put the other side of the velcro on the card sleeve. I thought of using magnets and tried a few other things but Velcro did the job perfectly.
While I approve of the Manny Ramirez rookie, who in their right mind would replace a gorgeous Early Wynn rookie with Yogi Berra? 🤮 I AM honored to have a little place in your museum.
Wow Dylan, just wow! You are a craftsman! I can’t believe you started in that corner and we watched you move around the room! You’re a rockstar!!!
Thank you Theo. I think since youtube I only built 2 displays the new one I shared and the secret closet one. Plenty more to build in time ha ha ha ha
Wow Dylan! Your enthusiasm and creativity is so infectious and inspiring. Beautiful work!

Thank you so much Daniel :)
