    (Skadoosh) Hey, cool showcase of the build in SSF, you made some nice changes to adjust around not having jewels and such.
    Do you think rolling slam is just straight better damage than earthshatter for the totems?

      Wow the one and only 😂
      BTW awesome stuff with ur original corrupting cry vid, I think u were probably one of the first build makers to use weapon swap to its fullest potential.
      Haha the changes I did for Jewels were just leaving my jewel socket empty xD but I'll probably have to farm a few sekhamas for them soon.
      I do think rolling slam is just better than every other totem setup, I haven't had a chance to test earthshatter with full Min maxed gear but based on the numbers on the gem itself, I believe that 3 spike explosions to do like 10-30% more damage (when overlapped) than the 2nd slam of rolling slam. The issue is that rolling slam has a 1st slam as well (which does half of the 2nd slam) and it also gets the giga 50% more dmg on heavily stunned, which gets giga boosted by the 20% more on the tree, and a bunch of the damage nodes too. Generally your totems will be able to get 2 full rolling slams off during the boss's stun phase, which is a lot of damage. Not too mention with overwhelming prescense the boss gets instantly stunned at the beginning of the fight
      It also gets to use the aftershock notable that's works for slam totems (dreamcore did some testing) meanwhile I don't think the spike itself from earthshatter gets to aftershock, which is where most the earthshatter dmg comes from.
      I'll probably revisit it again when I have better gear, but rolling slam also comes with a bunch of quality of life as you don't have to constantly warcry near ur spikes for damage, so u can run around and dodge like more traditional poe1 totem builds. Obviously ud miss out on rage and corrupted blood debuff (although u could just run around and reapply the DOT every now and then so that's not really an issue)

      Did a quick test on my gemling and here were my findings (from watching boss kills at 0.25x speed)
      Earthshatter: (Hit = 200k, explosion = 2mil)
      2.2 million damage at 0.74 attacks per second:
      DPS = 2,200,000 * 0.74 = 1,628,000
      Rolling Slam: (not including 50% more dmg against heavily stunned)
      4 million damage in 2.3 seconds (I just looked at before totems attack, and after, before their 2nd volley)
      DPS = 4,000,000 / 2.3 = 1,739,130

      @@mas0ny11 How are you stunning? Are the totems doing it? Or are you relying on Seismic Cry to do it?
      Relatedly: given that you aren't using Inspiration on Seismic, what level do you keep it at?

      @@danieljohnson270 totems will stun, the first hit of rolling slam has 50% more stun buildup. I believe seismic cry also can stun but I'm not sure if it works against bosses, only rares or lower.
      Your warcrys should be at the lowest level possible. Which is lvl 11 for seismic cry I have a lvl 5 for infernal, but I think it can get lower. This is to reduce the life costs for them as the actual warcry isn't where the damage is from, it's from the corrupting cry support

    What made you change from your Sundar Gemling Herald of Ice build?

    • @mas0ny11
      @mas0ny11  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      mainly cause I finished the character and didn't have anything else to upgrade on it. so i decided to play a new character and this is what I settled on. Also i think heralds will get nerfed next league, so I wanted to try something thats not herald reliant for clear

    Hey, this is a really helpful guide; I really liked looking at it and comparing it with Skadoosh's, to see different options.
    I just went through a t15 map with Splinter on my level 11 Seismic Cry and Scavenged Plating on, and I didn't get any stacks of Scavenged Plating the whole map (no boss in it). Is that a common experience for you? Or am I doing something wrong?

      @@danieljohnson270 hey I appreciate the comment glad you enjoyed it.
      First thing is if the map had "monsters are armoured" the warcry probably isn't enough to break armour
      Regarding splinter and scavenged plating I haven't had the chance to actually use splinter in my warcry link since I haven't dropped a second greater jewelers yet (used the first one on totem). So I'm not too sure about that aspect of the build. I mainly saw other build creators (the ones I linked in the description) using splinter to break armour but my guess is that the hit damage for the warcry is super low and so splinter is not breaking any armour. I believe splinter only works on hits.
      I believe there's 2 ways to solve this:
      1. There's a notable on the tree near resolute technique that says "break 50% of armour upon heavy stunning an enemy". This node in combination with 100% increased armour break (also from the tree or Jewels) would gurantee armour break upon heavy stunning a mob. I am unsure if this would proc if your totem is the entity to heavy stun the target (which it will be 90% of the time for rares/bosses) but that's something that I was looking into testing. This would save needing a 6 link on warcry to fit in magnified effect, which imo is basically like a "more damage" support and is mandatory since it means mobs get hit earlier when ur running around warcrying, so it feels like ur dealing more damage. So this is a very ssf friendly solution, the issue is it would require I believe 7 skill points. 4 for the notable and 3 for armour break (there's a rectangular shaped cluster slightly above giants blood that gives armour break and 60% inc dmg against armour broken targets.
      2. The other solution is devastate support, this would solve the armour break for mapping but may not work on bosses since ur totems are stunning. But it would save u the 7 skill points. And has the disadvantage of needing a 6th link on seismic cry since u wanna put magnified effect in it as well.
      Hopefully this helps, I'll probably give these a test over the upcoming few days and see which feels better

      @@mas0ny11 Thanks for the reply, very helpful. I suspect that people using Splinter/Scavenged Plating are leveling up their Seismic Cry gems to high levels, not keeping them low level like you (and I) are.
      I'm actually going the Cloak of Flame route instead of high armour, so Scavenged Plating wouldn't be that helpful anyway (I have fairly low armour), so all that investment doesn't seem worth it. And leveling up Seismic doesn't seem worth it either. I'd probably have to use Inspiration with it like I have been, but then the totems chunk my health when I cast them. I copied you and moved inspiration over to the totems, and it feels way better.
      I have all this spirit sitting around unused, though, so I kinda just want to make Scavenged Plating work just because I hate seeing that resource go to waste. Any ideas what other uses of spirit there might be for this build? I'm using Blasphemy/Enfeeble, Time of Need, Overwhelming Presence and still have a ton of extra spirit since I got a sceptre with a bunch on it. I looked through the minions but couldn't find any obvious utility ones to use. I saw someone trying to use Storm Mages and Skeleton Warriors so that the warriors die and the storm mages make shocked ground out of their corpses, but seemed too fiddly to me.

      @@mas0ny11 By the way, I tried Devastate and that didn't really work for mapping either. Not sure why. I think the mobs die before they are stunned when Seismic is at lower levels.

      @@danieljohnson270 yeah that's a issue I did think about. It would also mean that that the notables on the tree is also useless since it relies on the same mechanic to work. Good to know.
      The passive tree might work though because the physical explosions from the corpses, would deal a bunch of physical damage and potentially stun mobs they hit. Proccing the stun and giving u the plating armour.
      However devastate wouldn't work since that's only on the warcry as a support

    • @mas0ny11

      @@danieljohnson270 yup so most people are leveling their warcry up. Which imo is kinda wasted because of the "recover 2% of life when u warcry". The lower ur warcry cost is and the higher ur Max health is, will result in a shit ton of recovery and sustain when ur spamming 4 warcies a second.
      As for cloak of flame that's a really good unique and a good alternative to armour. I'd probably also run it but ssf xD. I dropped a titanrot though so I've been using that and hovering at around 600 strength now. I do think the newly buffed titanrot is bis until the arbiter chest piece
      Inspiration on the totem is imo mandatory once you get to high totem level. Especially since you aren't investing into regen and have to life flask for the totems I think it's the best 6th link in the totem instead of supporting the warcry. Lvl 38-40 totems can cost like 1k+ life per totem which is ridiculous. So inspiration becomes pretty mandatory for warbringer at least. Life regen is so ridiculously hard to scale without investing a shit ton of points on the tree, getting a bunch of Jewels and requires a ridiculous amount of investment that it's not really feasible unless u have really insane gear.
      As for the extra spirit, asides from berserk (rage applies to totems) I don't really think there's much else u can run. The minions could work but personally I wouldn't bother with them. It's gimmicky.
      If you want shock u could go with a low level ball lightning + lightning warp for shocked ground and this would be Guranteed shock on bosses.
      If you have enough int u could always put 2 curses in ur blasphemy. Like temp chains + enfeeble. Or vulnerability + enfeeble. Or all 3 lol if u really wanted. But for my setup the int requirements are way to high for those curses. And I don't have a low level blasphemy to slot in. If I did Id probably use enfeeble blasphemy and drop time of need or scavaged plating (or one of the spirit supports since I'm running all of them)
