OMG! I play chicken with my ending thread all the time! Such a time waster! I did 12 x 12 last year with 6 new starts and 6 WIPS. I think I’ll do that again. It worked out well. But I haven’t picked my 6 new starts yet!😮 Hoping your feeling of discombobulation gets better. A nap always helps!!❤

Thank you, I filmed the video AFTER a nap. lol. It was just a day. I had obligations to tend to and didn't get to run my day the way I really wanted to. :) I am liking the idea of splitting between new starts and WIPs.

Thank you! You too! I think I am going to focus on getting some of my bigger projects across the finish line AND fully finished in 2024. Plus curb some of my spending too. We'll see how that all works out....

I know Kea Bee said that the theme this year for the 12 x12 is magazines but I hope Kea understands but I can't have 12 new WIPs right now. Lol I don't have anything from a magazine started. I think I'm going to pick a couple WIPs and only work on them. I only have 2 WIPs left from last years 12 x 12 maybe I will make sure they get worked on.

I think if you want to follow with the theme you do. I truly believe we can make this challenge into anything we want it to be. The point is to get some dedicated stitchy time in at such a busy time of year.

I can’t see me starting 12 new projects on NYE but I plan to work on 12 WIPs. I have so many things that are close to a finish so I would like to concentrate on those. I still haven’t finished any of the one I started last NYE so it would be nice to get them finished. We’ll see how it goes. Happy stitching 😊

I started 12 new projects last year and I think only one got finished, but not fully finished. I'm sure I won't get to everything that I set aside. That would only be in a perfect world with zero distractions.

I love the idea of a 12 x 12 start-a-thon to ring in the new year but it also feels reckless (to me - it doesn’t apply to anyone else) to begin so many projects at once. I know the charts I have and the fabric I have won’t get finished if I don’t start on them but I already have enough self-induced guilt over all the projects I currently have. I enjoy working on them but can only do one thing at a time (need more hands 😂) so I think my plan is to work on the project I am currently doing for this season. I love to see what everyone else chooses to work on though. It’s so inspiring.

I understand as well, and I have quite a few WIPs that just sit. I did consider working a full day on one of my larger WIPs. I could change my mind and do just that. We'll have to see what my day is like. I think the new starts I picked are mostly ones I would be working on anyways, so I might as well start them on the same day. lol
