They are licking the salty moisture out of the baby's eyes until some of them have eye damage. Another selfish thing besides taking food away from them.
I don’t know but they often just can’t help themselves. Whether it’s a baby constantly wanting to nurse nonstop, or the moms will eat till they puke. Once they have access to something they won’t stop! Mom was probably grooming him one day, then licked his eye, it tasted salty and now she can’t help herself. Its like when you see videos of trapping monkeys and they will see their family get trapped and might even barley escape getting trapped themselves, yet as soon as the cage opens again, they will immediately run in to get the food inside, even though they know they shouldn’t, I mea. some literally hesitate or try to quickly reach in and out fast, yet they risk it anyways because they can’t help themselves!
These monkeys you watch don't behave like normal primates!! These monkeys have been tainted by human interference and human dependency.. They've gone from being 100% independent and self reliant to now depending on humans that transition has messed up their brain development.. That's why you see these big adolescents still nursing and being carried by their moms cause they're stuck in the infancy stage because they aren't being taught the skills to become independent like Foraging.. People will say they know how to forage but Foraging is finding their own food, not digging around the ground where vos threw small nuts and other snacks so they'll sit there and dig around so they can film them longer.. They wouldn't be dependent on humans if they could forage.. They are starving cause they've been allowed to breed out of control and now troops are so big there's not enough food for a troop of a couple hundred members.. They keep going In the cages cause they are used to humans feeding them so they see a person put food in the trap and they go in.. and the reason they go after others have been caught is cause they move the ones caught to the other side and the free ones see them still in there.. They're intelligent but not like us, they don't learn as quickly as us.. It seems they learn overtime rather than from the first experience.. Look up Effects of Macaque over breeding in India, Cambodia, South East Asia and watch the troops that are hundreds strong running through the streets and raiding houses and stores.. it's crazy!!
I agreeethey need kick N the ass am Not Beening funny this just to much there to Grown those peoples need to put stop to that just put stop to these monkeys to Grown
Maybe mom realized this monkey is half blind this is the reason she keep close to the mom for breast milk they knows just like human they can tell when something is wrong

Janice Koranda I’m leaning in your direction with my thought process too. It seems nine out of ten of these monkeys are all about self.

It would be equivalent to a 1 year old still nursing

Baby gets milk mom gets salt.
These are not babies. They're big ass teens.
My gosh way too big to be nursing.
Do monkeys love each other like friends?
I never seen anything like this in my life
You should travel back to the motherland. There is so much to see
