    The difference depends on those who works overtime like night duty and Sunday/public holiday and those working normal working hours.obvious the one working normal hours will earn less than the ones who are working overtime...

    If you’re specialist Registered Nurse entry in the government sector is R33000 before deductions. In Private R40/R42 000 before deductions excluding overtime. There is also an annual salary increase as well of R2000 or more in private.
    In nursing the big bucks are in MANAGEMENT especially in the government sector. Specialty management especially. ICU managers, PHC managers, assistant nursing managers etc.
    The key is growth in nursing with experience of course. You can’t be in one position without growth, you become stagnant. Even your salary starts showing you that there is no growth here.

    • @liferesetwithboni
      @liferesetwithboni  ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @siposetubaninzi5518

    Overtime can mean a lot of things when it comes to private sector. Let’s say per month you’re stipulated to work 168hrs/month and it happens you work a public holiday and a Sunday in that 168hrs. Now this is how it will work the company pays you 168hrs in your basic salary but the Sunday time and the public holiday time is not included so in your payslip Sunday and a PH will reflect as OT. Also if you knock off late whether it’s 10 minutes late that is OT. With Government there’s OT but they’ll pay you back by giving you a day off especially at PHC.

      OHS is not the same as Occupational Hygiene. Scope of work is not the same, Occupational Hygiene focuses more on preventing and controlling hazards that may cause a risk to the health of employees in the long term. My advice would be to rather go into Environmental health at TUT, UJ etc or a Bachelor of Health sciences in occupational hygiene at Potch, there are more job opportunities in hygiene than safety. I did a BSc degree then completed an honours in Occupational Hygiene (only offered at UP, according to my knowledge). Remuneration can be very lucrative, but this is also dependent on where you work.

      In Saudi it depends on hospital you are working at. Either Military, Government, Private or MOH(Ministry of Health). Again if you decide to stay outside hospital compounds(nurses homes) u get housing and transport allowance, unlike those who stays in hospital. Our Salaries are in Riyals but when I send home it’s in USD then your bank Forex dept at home changes to rands. It works out for us when the rand is doing bad against the USD then you send more money at home🙌🏾
