VALS is such a powerful model - & it all starts with understanding yourself. So... what motivates YOU the most? Are you a Thinker/Believer? An Achiever/Striver? or an Experiencer/Maker? Perhaps you have a primary & a secondary motivation... share your thoughts in the comments.
I'll go first. I took the VALS test (link is in the description) - my Primary is Experiencer/Creator & my Secondary is Thinker/Believer - which matches my self-identity.
@@amyjokim440 so interesting! I have just made the test and I got Experiencer/Innovator, I'm feeling well represented by the description. I will apply it to know more about our superfans /early adopters motivations, do you have any best practice or tip to do this?
This is wonderful content again! Thank you very much! I spend my days thinking about our customers behavior, and how we can a part of their current days. Habit loops in your book really helped us crack the code on hijacking their current habits. I am going to follow the VALS system and see how we can implement it in our customer interviews. For VALS, Primary is a thinker... Secondary, Achiever.
So interesting! Let me know how it goes with your VALS experiments. We go DEEP into that with our Game Thinking programs - you can learn more at gamethinking.io/programs
I highly appreciate this kind of content as it makes so much sense to how I think, live and analyze. Before making the Vals test I associated me being Thinker and Experiencer. The results are Maker as a primary and Striver the second one😁
@@GameThinkingTV I'm pretty sure it was the "strongly held philosophical views" you mention but with a little more investigation via the survey information experiencer and innovator is a good fit :)

Thank you! Marketers keep advising me to pick a niche based on demographics but psychographics make more sense to me.
So glad it was helpful! Learning about psychographics can be TRANSFORMATIVE - it sure was for us.

Great insights to understand users. I was sure I'd be a thinker, the VALS sees me as an innovator and experiencer, interesting.
Wow - super interesting! Would love to hear more... what makes you identify as a Thinker?

I'm both achiever and experiencer at the same time, I learn (experience) all the things that could lead me to financial freedom (achievement).
Cool! That's a great combo 👍🏽
