    I believe the retirement crisis will get even worse. Many struggle to save due to low wages, rising prices, and exorbitant rents. With homeownership becoming unattainable for middle-class Americans, they may not have a home to rely on for retirement either.

      Got it! Buying stocks during a recession when prices are down could be a good move. You might get them at a lower price and sell later when they go up. Just do your homework and be aware of the risks before diving in!

    Great info here, thank you. Here's a question: My wife and I are self employed, working for our company. We are getting close to retirement. She will be 65 next year and I will be 60. My thought is, her retiring at 66 and me taking her company income as a "raise" and investing that money in my roth IRA till I retire at 67. Her income is currently $48K. Does this sound like a good idea or not? Thank you

    Hi Stephanie, thanks for the informative video! Are you able to make the SEP IRA and Solo 401k Roth versions? Aka Roth SEP IRA and Solo Roth 401k? If so as a sole proprietor what companies can you recommend to do this? Charles Schwab, Vanguard, etc? Thanks!

    • @StephanieKremic
      @StephanieKremic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Blaine, as of right now - a Roth SEP IRA does not exist (I wish it did). If you don't want to pick investments or rebalance your account - Schwab has a great platform to open accounts and auto invest. Just google "Schwab Intelligent Portfolios". Some solo 401k companies offer the solo roth 401k component to the plan.

    Thank you so much for sharing! Is it possible to transfer funds/ charge retirement plans as your income or situation changes? For instance starting with a Traditional IRA and switching to a Solo 401K once your income changes or is more stable?

    • @StephanieKremic
      @StephanieKremic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question Vlada! Yes, you absolutely can change retirement plans as your income increases.

    • @StephanieKremic
      @StephanieKremic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Many folks start off with Traditional IRA and move onto a solo 401k or SEP IRA. You can find more in this video th-cam.com/video/Aq2_Xr1688E/w-d-xo.html

    Self employed with scorp business solo 401k contribution will change as per shareholders payroll, isn't it. I think employer contribution will also change and limited to 25% of payroll. Am I right on this?
