@@maximillianosaben lol…. Reminds me of how, translations are truly subjective, i.e., “ Leave It To Beaver” the show, translates in Japanese to “ The Happy Boy and His Family”…! 😂…. True that life’s prism is viewed through one’s own glasses…👓
I liked the bacon & cheese flavor. I haven't ever seen them at the grocery store, but then again, I wasn't looking for them, so I'll have to keep my eye open for them. For some reason, there aren't a lot of TGI Friday stuff here.
Pudding pies were supreme! Also Tato Skins and Cheese Balls with a Cherry Slice. You forgot Mr. T cereal. His slogan was "I pity the fool who don't eat my cereal!"
Pudding pops and Slice need to come back. I have seen Cheez Balls reappear. My husband and I are in our fifties and shouldnt eat them, but I bought them once anyway. I ate two and he demolished the rest in front of TV after I went to bed. They do send you right back to the 1980s.
Tato Skins were HELLA GOOD. TGI Fridays Potato Skin Chips are the closest to it, and even those aren't all over the place. Smurfberry Crunch was like super sweet tangy blue and strawberry flavor. Was hella good. Honey Crisp Peanut Butter Boppers was the best of the bunch. I liked Fruit Wrinkles because they had the perfect amount of chew and size and sweetness. My grandpa used to drink FiveAlive.
Flintstones push up pops, the raspberry specifically were the absolute best!!! Kebbler company used to have a nacho twist chip that were amazing, Charleston chips in the metal tin the jalapeño flavor, and there used to be a corn chip that were hot but I can't remember the name it was in a white and green bag. Surf berry crunch, nerds, Ghostbusters cereal were my all time favorite as a kid!!! I wish all these were around today, but sadly the way they've learned to cut corners on quality ingredients and taste I'm afraid that they wouldn't taste the same and ruin my childhood memories.
I don't know why, but I always crave 5 Alive when I get sick. Now, whenever I get a cold or flu, it drives me crazy that I can't get it! None of the other juice blends do it for me, for some reason. I also wish they'd bring back those Planter's peanut shaped cookies that were filled with either chocolate or peanut butter. Those technically weren't from the 80's, but close enough. I always wondered if the reason they stopped making those was because Planter's just wanted to focus more on nuts instead of other types of snack foods. When I was a little kid, at the time when they stopped making them, I assumed the reason was that people were mistaking the cookies for peanuts because they looked just like them and were the same size and shape and it was from Planters and Planters just didn't want to be a cookie company because they just wanted to focus on nuts. But I realize now how dumb it was to think that.
Peanut butter boppers where my mom's favorite .. I remember her keeping them in the deep freezer by the droves.. she is a very petite thin woman but would down these like nobody's business! Awwww the nostalgic feels seeing this video
Wow. This brought back some memories of things I hadn't thought about for years. Only two things on the list I had never heard about-- hot/buttered Cheerios and Quisp (!!?). But I loved Fruit Wrinkles, Five Alive, Squeezits, Smurfberries, pudding pops, and pudding pies. I'm really craving one of those pies now, and it's definitely been almost 40 years since I last had one.
I loved hi-c ecto cooler. Cheese balls were better than cheeto puffs. Thankfully, they came back. Squeeze, it was my favorite, especially cherry flavor.
Here's a brief but important PSA: Y'all been missing Nabisco "Mr. Salty" Pretzels in the blue "cereal" box? I have been looking for them for years . Seriously. I was almost RAISED on them. Well...my memories and sense of taste tell me the "Thin" Great Value pretzel sticks at Walmart ABSOLUTELY either ARE Mr. Salty Pretzels or they have NAILED that recipe. Y'all try them and tell me if y'all agree. They sell two similar GV Pretzels in green and white bags. Look for the ones labeled "THIN." You're welcome.
My favorite chip from the 90s that was SOOO GOOD to me was Fritos Texas grilled Corn chips! Those were soo good to me back in the day and I could smash out a whole bag and not feel guilty cause they were that good.
Not sure when they quit making it, but Buckwheats cereal was damn good too. A sweet Cornflakes if you will. I know I had it in the 70's, but not sure if it made it to the 80's or not.
I loved tato skins and those pizza chips. I worked for Keebler and loved snagging a few bags here and there. If you look into it you will find that all those companies no longer exist and were bought out by Big Food companies. Hormel now is Planters.
Peanut butter boppers!! imagine a log of Reese's peanut butter with delicious crunchy toppings. Put them in the microwave for 10 seconds with a fat glass of Ecto Cooler
Making Chex mix from scratch as opposed to the prepackaged kind was always way better! We used to also make "Chewy -Os" from Cheerios Cereal that was a lot like a popcorn ball that involves making a corn syrup and dry Jell-O coating and then pressing them into a pan!
Here are a few more that I miss the most.. 1. Frankenstuffs = (Hot Dogs full of Chili or Cheez).. Hormel BTW.. 2. Fruit Island Cereal = Tasted Soo Awesome! 3. WallaRoo flavored Soda Water! 4. Totinos "MEXICAN" Pizza.. What ever happened to it? = possible food poisioning.. But they Were So GOOD! I miss these 😞 The OLD style Don McGyles old school TV Dinners.. You know.. the ones it the tin foil plate Before microwave ovens! They were the Bomb!! 5. Puddin POPs! They were Awesome, despite having a sexual deviant rapist American DAD as the spokesman for the product! Cosbey was cool back then.. Kinda. 6. I know.. This is kinda kiddish.. Squeez ITs.. Almost like Capri Sun.. Bad for environment, but Fun all the same!

So, if you want the Tato Skins again, get yourself a bag of TGI Friday's Potato Skins chips. They're essentially the same thing
Precisely, I believe TGI Friday's must've bought the rights to them and they're simply being manufactured by Utz now.
They ARE the same things.
Even though I agree with you I can’t get the TGIFridays taterskins in south Jersey any longer.
I was gonna say, I swear I've had those tato skins, but I wasn't alive in the 80's.
Nahh...still not the same. Its gotta say "tato skins" and from real potatoes
I loved Carnation Breakfast Bars AND Carnation Instant Breakfast. Kids today don't know what they're missing.
I never heard of Hot Buttered Cherios before but I want them NOW
Cereal party snacks like that and Chex Mix were popular in the 70s and 80's. Easy party food
I'm sure there is a recipe out there for this.
This video reminds me of simpler times spent with friends and family
😂😂😂
Me too.
Tah-toe Skinz! 😄😄😄
At least there are still some ways we can discern the AI narrators from real folk.
😂 ahhh my friend.. I say. Tato. U say Tahto.. oh me oh ma…. Tralalalalalla.
I love that the original comment up above has a 'Translate to English' button bellow it.

“New tato skins got baked potato appeal, cuz they’re made with potatoes and skins that are real…”🎶😂
Bagel Bites are still around. My daughter was into these for a while.
Yes bagel bites are still around.
They're also not an 80s snack.
"Tato Skins got baked potato appeal, 'cause they're made with potatoes and skins that are real."🎶 O'Boisies were great as well!
I LOVED O’Boises!
O'boises were O'boisterous!
Oboisies!❤❤❤❤❤
I totally forgot about O'boisies!
Yes Tato Skins sour cream and onion. I forgot Keebler made those. No wonder they were so good.
Tato Skins are still around, they're just rebranded as TGI Friday's. The sour cream and onion flavor is not available in my area though.
I liked the bacon & cheese flavor. I haven't ever seen them at the grocery store, but then again, I wasn't looking for them, so I'll have to keep my eye open for them. For some reason, there aren't a lot of TGI Friday stuff here.
Much nostalgia and simpler times and care free moments are overflowing in this video

Carnation Breakfast Bars are what I ate for breakfast during my high school years. Kept me from missing the bus.

Loved tato skins thanks for these nostalgic childhood memories ❤😂
Carnations Breakfast Bars! Pleeeeeaaaaasssssssse bring these back!
Planters cheese balls came back, but they don't taste anything like they used to. Now they are just Cheetos.
You're right, they just have that savory element to them anymore.
I got them a couple of years ago and when I ate them, they didn’t taste the same as they did in the ‘80s. Disappointing. 😐
I was obsessed with Tater Skins (that's what we called them so I can't say "Tato" - sorry!) Those were freaking amaze-balls
Well done, Tato Skins, and Slice need to make a come back
AMEN
Yes!
I wish they would bring back O’Boisies and Pizzarias (both by Keebler).
When im on death row my final meal would be a bag of each, sour cream and onion and supreme

loved me some 5 Alive too ...
What's interesting is that Five Alive is still available in Canada.
When I start to get I'll I usually get a one liter of V8. 🤒🤧, 😀
I can't believe Jello pudding pops didn't make this list! I have yet to discover another popsicle that even comes close to those!!
@11:48 here you go
@rnj323 thanks! Lol I guess I should've watched it til the end, huh? 🫣
They are the same. Made in my home town. The factory used to be Keebler, now utz. They never stopped making the skins
Peanut butter boppers where my mom's favorite .. I remember her keeping them in the deep freezer by the droves.. she is a very petite thin woman but would down these like nobody's business! Awwww the nostalgic feels seeing this video
Smurf berry crunch was awesome!
I once had Smurf-Berry Crunch. It's literally the worst sugary cereal I had as a kid.
Loved Carnation Breakfast bars
Love him calling Smurf Berry Crunch "candies", thats what most cereal is 😄
All of these should return & permanently stay!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hostess Pudding pies were so delicious. My favorite was the Green Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle one with Vanilla filling
Man, seeing clips of that Tato Skins commercial put a big beaming smile on my face.
Wow. This brought back some memories of things I hadn't thought about for years. Only two things on the list I had never heard about-- hot/buttered Cheerios and Quisp (!!?). In this heat, I could use a box of Jello Pudding Pops!
I loved hi-c ecto cooler. Cheese balls were better than cheeto puffs. Thankfully, they came back. Squeeze, it was my favorite, especially cherry flavor.
Crispix cereal was very 1980s also.
Still my favorite cereal
Me too! It's crispy times two after all.
I still eat that, have two boxes in the pantry now.
I still buy Crispix here in 2024. I buy a large family sized box and keep it for when I want a snack.😋
I buy a generic version labeled "Crispy Hexagons" at my local grocery store.
Tato Skins got baked potato appeal, cause they're made from potatoes and skins that are real.

Bagel Bites are still around. I just saw them at the grocery store last week.
My mother used to love the Planters Cheez Balls
I wished that would bring them as retro snacks
Smurf berries, tato skins, and peanut butter boppers, fruit roll ups, bagel bites etc brings back good times 😂😂😂
Tato Skins were my favorite. Bring em back!
Very nice thanks for the info
my pleasure!
Why are Bagel Bites on here? They haven't been forgotten - they're still on the market.
I was literally eating one when I saw that lol
Not sure when they quit making it, but Buckwheats cereal was damn good too. A sweet Cornflakes if you will. I know I had it in the 70's, but not sure if it made it to the 80's or not.
OMG, pudding pies!!!
Oh how I miss the past. Everything was so better
Back when your life still had promise.
Cheese balls are still around.
They brought them back.
0:29 Tato skins were sooooooo good!!!!
We still eat Planters Cheese Balls 😋
Five Alive is still available in Canada. I bought a bunch last time i was up there. And bagel bites are still around too, aren't they?

if you want Hot Buttered Cheerios back, then just make em ffs
I wish O'Grady's potato chips and Screaming Yellow Zonkers would make a comeback.
I loved O Gradys chips
I just want La Choy Egg Rolls. They were the best!
I want my Powdered Donutz cereal back.😑
I miss Pizzeria chips ❤
Bring back Teenage mutant ninja turtles Crunch a bungas.
Really enjoyed the video. You definitely have a radio voice.
I remember the potato skins
Tato Skins were great
Apple slice was the best!!
Yum!
Orange was my pick.
Still waiting to bring back that Hostess Chocodile, it made a brief return in 2014, then gone again, where I live
Agree - loved the Chocodiles!....they also need to bring back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pies
oh wow, I do remember Squezze it's
and yes, they were very artificially tasting
kids loved those back then
Bring back the Franco American Mac n cheese in a can with the pale yellow sauce and long worm-like over cooked noodles. That stuff was amazing!
As much as I really liked Pudding Pies, they were quite messy if you were eating them from the package unless you got a fork.
Peanut butter boppers!! imagine a log of Reese's peanut butter with delicious crunchy toppings. Put them in the microwave for 10 seconds with a fat glass of Ecto Cooler
Moi aussi❤🎉
Can we just have a real voice? This AI garbage is a quick downvote and stop.
I think it's pretty funny myself.
😅😂
But who will tell us about simpler times and cherished memories?
Fully agreed. The least they could do is use the Johnny 5 voice. People can't make an effort for anything anymore 🙄
bagel bites are still at our walmart
A couple of these are still around. Planters Cheez Balls are still around or back. TGIF Friday's has Tato Skins options.
Making Chex mix from scratch as opposed to the prepackaged kind was always way better! We used to also make "Chewy -Os" from Cheerios Cereal that was a lot like a popcorn ball that involves making a corn syrup and dry Jell-O coating and then pressing them into a pan!
I remember all of them.
“Tah-toe skins”. For chrissakes.
Taro Skins with an Apple Slice was heaven to me
Only the apple slice was really good tho. 😋
@@JaxonSmithers Dude, it’s my favorite soda everyone

Squeeze It were a hoot! Why would they discontinue such a thing? It was easy for kids to open, too
Planters cheez balls are the bomb.
Had to be careful pouring milk into Quisp. The disc shape would often splash the milk back at you.
OMG Tato Skins!
I think Squeezeits were 90s. However, the 80’s did have Big Squeeze drinks similar to Squeezeits
Carnation Space Sticks and the Breakfast bars are what I miss.
Enough with the AI voice overs. It ruins the nostalgic meaning of the videos.
I loved...
*Tato Skins*
*Cheerios*
*Planters Cheez Balls*
*Fruit Roll-Ups*
*Orange Slice Soda*
*Five Alive*
*Bagel Bites* (but, only the regular cheese ones)

*Smurfberry Crunch* (I wish I did)
*Hot-Buttered Cheerios*
*Peanut Butter Boppers*
*Hi-C Ecto Cooler* (I had other kinds of Hi-C; just not this particular kind)
*Carnation Breakfast Bars* (I only had the Carnation Instant Breakfast drink)
*Hostess Pudding Pies* (I wish I did)
*Quisp Cereal*
Other foods I loved from the 1980s include...

*Choco Bliss*
*Chocolate Zingers*
*Peanut Butter Twix*

#GoodOldDays #1980sFoods
A couple years ago they brought back quisp to the grocery stores. I remember it being a whole lot better than it is now.
I've seen Quisp in the cereal aisle so I think it was revived but it is certainly not in abundance.
Anyone remember the Campbell chicken soup that had O's instead of noodles? I wish they would come back.
They still make Chicken NoodleO's soup.
It never left.
This video wouldn't exist if these foods were forgotten...
I used to work in an office building that had them in the snack machines as of 2018
I loved Slice soda.
Why go to the effort of a video just to phone it in with bad AI narration?
I still eat fried pudding pies whenever i can find them
Hot buttered cheerios sounds delicious, like chex mix
This video makes no mention of precisely WHY Smurfberry Crunch was discontinued: It was turning kids' poop blue, and that rattled parents.
We still have five alive in Canada. :)
Bagel Bites are still available in Canada.
Fried Cheerios are awesome. Though I never put anything other than butter and salt on them
Whoever writes these scripts really needs an editor.
Bagel bites are still around. All the rest of these food don't have even a craving for.
Peanut Butter Boppers were awesome.
