Polski dywizjon 303 był najlepszy wśród wszystkich walczących w tej bitwie. Warto też pamiętać, że po wojnie rząd Wielkiej Brytanii za użyczenie Polakom paliwa, samolotów i lotnisk kazał sobie zapłacić złotem, które wywieźliśmy we wrześniu 1939 roku z Warszawy. Żeby przelać Polską krew w obronie Anglii musieliśmy angolom zapłacić polskim złotem. Razem 107 650 000 funtów.
To nieprawda. Korzystaliśmy ze sprzętu na zasadzie pożyczenia. Od złota jakie było w Wielkiej Brytanii odliczono jedynie za utrzymanie cywilów. Resztę zwrócono rządowi PRL. To co Ty napisałeś komunistyczna propaganda rozprzestrzeniała z sobie wiadomych powodów.

W Polsce zrobi się miejsce dla narodu wybranego i bogatych ukrainców . Pewnie w Krakowie zrobią sobie drugą stolicę .

On 1st September 1939 Hitler invaded Poland. Britain and France gave him 48 hours to withdraw his forces. He failed to do so. On 3rd September 1939 Britain and France declared war on Germany. Apparently there was dancing in the streets of Warsaw when the Poles heard the news of the British and French support. That month the British succeeded in penning the German 'pocket battleship' Graf Spee into Montevideo harbour, and her captain sank her. On 14th October 1939 a German U-boat sneaked into Scapa Flow harbour in Orkney and sank HMS Royal Oak. Britain's army crossed the Channel to try to help the defence of France, but were kicked back into the sea in 1940 and France surrendered. Much of France then collaborated with the Nazis. The Royal Navy was forced to sink the French fleet, out of fear it would fall into Nazi hands. So there was no betrayal on Britain's behalf. The British Army was no match for the Wehrmacht. The RAF was tiny in comparison with the Luftwaffe. And even the German capital ships were better than ours, though we had more of them. So Britain launched into a war, in support of Poland, despite being completely unready for it and half-expecting to lose it.
At the end of the war there was no way on earth that the western allies could have kicked Stalin's Red Army out of Poland. It would have been World War Three, fought on Polish soil, with the result that none of us might ever have been born.
Britain ceased to pay its war debts for World War Two in about 2006, so don't ever think you're the only ones with a hard-luck story.

The 2nd time in 1920 ( only 2 years after the creation of the new Polish state and the formation of the Polish army) , where polish army stopped and drove away the Soviet Red Army to the East, which wanted to bring the communist revolution to Western Europe .

We can only live in harmony, but we can never forget or forgive. We know the stories of waxen grandfathers, soldiers who, when Poland was already conquered, wanted to continue fighting for their country. There's probably a lot to learn there. Now we know that Great Britain knew before us about the secret Molotov-Rubentrop Pact, i.e. the division of Poland between Germany and the USSR. However, they wanted Poland to fight and gained as much time as possible to prepare for a German attack on Great Britain.
And as we know, Great Britain and France had an alliance with Poland. They were supposed to help and enter and fight the Germans. This help never came even though they declared war on Germany.

Yes, England betrayed us twice during WWII. Betrayal was one thing, but what they did next was even worse. After the war, England billed Poland for the destroyed planes on which Polish pilots flew, for spare parts for these planes and for fuel for them. This is not the end of how England treated us, but the beginning, just one of hundreds of examples of how England behaved towards Poland and Poles.

A druga sprawa, że UK wystawiło rachunek nie tylko Polakom ale i Francuzom, Grekom czy Włochom z armii antyfaszystowskiej.

All countries where given bills to pay after the war the UK made their last WW2 payment to the United States of America in 2016! The Aircraft carrier my father was on during the war was leased from USA including every bomb and bullet that means they rented it with gold and money the same is happening in Ukraine now do you think USA is sending bombs for free? What do you say about that? All countries paid for the rebuilding of Germany maybe we should not have done that also? You all need to grow up and look at the facts before commenting! When I was 13 I was a cadet at RAF Northolt 14F for 7 years I took part with my Squadron marching in the memorial parade for 1,241 Polish people who died in operational sorties during the course of the war. Before 1939, the international agreement between France, England and Poland stated that if war broke out and Germany invaded any of these three countries, the others would declare war and attack from both sides. Of course, both of these countries betrayed us. In 1940, Germany declares war on England. Polish pilots take part in its defense and all historians agree that if it were not for the participation of Poles, England would have lost the war.
Of course, immediately after the end of the war, England issued a bill to pay for uniforms, fuel, weapons, etc., and at the same time appropriated the Polish gold that had been taken out of Poland and deposited in an English bank after many months of the war.
As a reward, after the end of the war, a huge parade was held in London in which all countries that fought on the side of the USA, England, etc. took part, except Poles, who were forbidden to participate in order not to upset Stalin.

Więc zaproszenie ponowiono do polskich sił w Wielkiej Brytanii.
Oni odmówili, bo poczuli się urażeni że rząd UK najpierw zaprosił komunistów z Warszawy.
Na koniec Brytyjczycy wystosowali zaproszenie dla pilotów polskich walczących w bitwie o Anglię.
Ci w ramach solidarności z resztą sił zbrojnych na uchodźstwie też odmówili.
Wskutek czego Polski na paradzie nie było.

W1939 1 września atakuje Hitler a 17 września Stalin. Ze wzgl. na umowy międzynarodowe które Polska zawarła przed wojną Anglia i Francja wypowiadają wojne Niemcom i ograniczają się tylko do ogłoszenia mobilizacji i rozrzucenia ulotek na terenach przygranicznych.Ludność Amgli i Francji po 1 wojnie światowej nie chciała i nie miała najmniejszej ochoty umierać za Polskę. Mówiąc w skrócie zdradzi i nie wywiązali się z umów.O sprawie Jałty ,zabójstwie gen. Sikorskiego w Gibraltarze czy też udziale w paradzie to szkoda mojego czasu.Jestem w stanie zrozumieć ,że pewne wstydliwe i nie wygodne fakty poszczególne kraje pomijają albo przemilczają i zakazują np.wystarczy zapytać w poszczególnych krajach które współpracowały z Niemcami kiedy wybuchła 2 wojna światowa...itp

Polish "honour" meant that when it was graciously allowed to set up its exiled government in London in June 1940 it signed various agreements with the British government, one of which was to pay for all the goods and services it received from Britain, the exiled Polish government preferring to be an "independent national force" rather than a ragged bunch of itinerant mercenaries.
For its own part, Britain had by 1942 handed ALL 1,400 TONS of its OWN pre-war gold reserve over to the US government to pay for the arms and equipment it was using to continue the fight against the conquerors of YOUR country. Once all that gold had been spent, we then handed over ALL of our own cutting edge British scientific research to the US as well as global basing rights on empire territory to the US armed forces, and then when all that had been accounted for, we ran the British part of the war effort and indeed our whole UK economy on US Loans. Not "GIFTS"... but "LOANS" that needed repaying. We only finished repaying the tens of BILLIONS of pounds worth of debt to the US in 2006.
As a result of this unforeseen ruinous expenditure we could no longer afford to maintain our own empire, which hastened the collapse of both the British Empire & the entire UK economy after WW2. By the end of WW2 Great Britain had been transformed from the world's richest nation in 1900 to the world's largest debtor in 1945.
What you also will have utterly no awareness of is that the majority of Polish war debt was written off by the UK as it was clear that there was no way that the postwar Polish communist regime were ever going to pay the rest of it back.
And then clueless commenters like yourself complain about having to pay a pittance for YOUR part in freeing YOUR country from nazi death camps & tyranny.
You should have let us know in 1939 that you were going to beat the nazis alone, then we could have left you to it, and saved ourselves all our OWN gold reserve, 460,000 British lives and our empire.

Hello! Dywizjon 303 to tylko fragment. Polacy mieli też Dywizjony 302, 306, 307, 308, 309, 315, 316, 317, 318, 663 i Dywizjony bombowe - 300, 301, 304, 305. Latali do końca wojny w bitwach nad Europą, Afryką Północną, Atlantykiem. Wojska lądowe walczyły od pierwszego, do ostatniego dnia II Wojny - Polska, Norwegia, Francja, Afryka Północna, Włochy, Belgia, Holandia. 1 i 2 Armia Polska walczyła też od wschodu, składała się głównie z tysięcy więźniów Stalina wypuszczonych z obozów, drogę bojową zakończyli bitwą o Berlin. (!) Do tego w wojnie na Atlantyku uczestniczyły polskie okręty, które w 1939 przepłynęły do UK. Jeden z nich, "Błyskawica" jest dziś okrętem muzeum i stoi w polskim porcie Gdynia. / W 1943 zasłynął też w Afryce Polish Fighting Team "Cyrk Skalskiego". Mając 15 pilotów i 10 samolotów zestrzelili 28 samolotów, 9 uszkodzili. Bez strat własnych. Pozdrawiam! :)

Lol you little Roach! You need to read a bit of history, it was as much the french that betrayed the Poles after ww2 no surprise really, Chuchill was trying to use French airfields to figure out ways of actually engaging the Russians to force them out of Poland but the good old french wouldn't allow the UK to use french airspace if war broke out with Russia. So the plans was abandoned so Poland got left to the USSR. Britain alone couldn't take on Russia even less so with france not allowing troops or planes to be based in france for fear of reprisal from the Russians. Its no suprise really. But you most defiantly cant hold your heads high on what amounted to france solely betraying poland.
Britain didn't jump straight to war because they could see france folding like a PIEACE OF PAPER at the start of Germanys invasion of Poland and france what the hell you expecting of Britain. I am English and am proud of they sacrifice, my grandparents told me how they were great full like so many other British people and were unhappy how the polish pilots were sent back to Poland by our gov only to face Stalin. We are so proud of you and don’t forget.
Dry your uninformed crocodile tears and read how In 1947 the UK passed the "1947 Polish Resettlement Act". It was the act of UK parliament that granted FULL UK citizenship and residency rights to over 250,000 Polish ex service personnel AND their families. Britain was the FIRST allied nation to pass such legislation, followed by the French in 1948 and finally the USA was shamed into doing likewise in 1949. NO Polish service personnel were forcible returned to Poland post WW2. A small number CHOSE to return (after all they weren't prisoners of the UK) but in most cases those who did lived (and sometimes died) regretting that choice.

The Polish airforce flew antiquated aircraft and was wiped out in weeks. Britain's RAF gave them the planes to fight back. Their pilots never thought they fought for Britain. They fought for Poland.

I've got the video of 303 Squadron and I often watch it. I've got nothing but admiration for the Polish pilots and we owe them a huge debt of thanks. These are men that I call true heroes!! It's disgusting that the government bowed down to Stalin and wouldn't let them march in the victory parade.
They owe Britain FAR more.... WE saved them from 1000 years of nazi tyranny. and give over with the left wing "not invited" BS. Poland was the ONLY nation to receive TWO invites to the 1946 victory parade, but it was SOLELY through a poisonous bitter mix of POLISH political hatred and hubris that THEY CHOSE not to attend.
Facinating story. I've never seen this before. I've had the priviledge to work with Polish people over many years in the UK, and in my opinon they are a great bunch of people. One more thing about last part, so Poland not being invited to parade - it's controversial as at least to most of the Brit's we were invited and we've refused, but they forgot that was official request, so at that time not to the Polish government-in-exile (that still existed), but to the official government at that time (which was under Stalin's command) and they refused. So in the opinion of most Poles now (and pilots at that time) they didn't asks Poles they've asked Stalin and his pawns and they've refused. We were still occupied maybe not directly but still we were like a state of Russia as stated in Yalta.
Any documentary film on the subject of war is extremely important, because it shows what a senselessness and what a great evil every war is without exception. During World War II, young healthy people, instead of living, died to defend their countries, families, homes. Innocent people, civilians, children died horrible and cruel deaths - shootings, starvation, concentration camps, torture, rape, experiments. We must always remember that no war is justified, cannot be justified. The conflict between Palestinians and Israelis, the conflicts in Africa, the Russian onslaught on Ukraine, the war in Syria - all these things should not happen after the experience of World War II. Yet we still fight, kill, destroy and hate each other. I am from Poland, I watch with trepidation what is happening in the world, I look to the future with fear.

Poles are the greatest nation in the world and the best friends!!! They died thousands of times for their so-called friends. I would also like to remind you that this nation paid the British in gold for every bullet fired during World War II. They died for others, paid the bill with gold taken from the country, and at the end of the war they were BETRAYED and occupied until 1993. This is how the Allies thanked the heroes of all battles and fronts of World War II. Democracy of the 20th century was presented by Europeans and their nations.

There are a lot of Polish people living in the UK, my schools Art teacher was Polish, inspiring.
There was a refugee camp, where they lived, the locals supported them.
Now we have supermarkets with Polish food sections.

Some Poles did stay. In my part of England there are many people with Polish names. My Polish uncle escaped the German POW camp, came to the UK to fight, joined the Navy and won a medal for continuing to fire an anti-aircraft gun whilst badly wounded. He was so focussed on shooting down Germans, he hadn't even noticed.
Just to be clear, nearly 250,000 Polish ex-service personnel AND their families were freely granted full UK citizenship and residence rights courtesy of the UK's "1947 Polish Resettlement Act".

You may like Jeremy Clarksons ww2 documentary’s one of them is about the Victoria cross medal and there is one about the commandos ramming a ship into a German dock used for repairs but behind this dock was a number of German submarine pens.
