There is such a different vibe with the Ulibarri/Koling commentary compared to the Big Sexy commentary. Appreciate them both for what they are. Different chemistry offers a different feel. Ulibarri definitely has my sense of humor. Great coverage and awesome commentary. Thanks for the laughs.
I saw one hit of the gap(McBeth) off the tee on hole 2 in 3 rounds, watching the best disc golfers in the world. I think that's evidence that the hole needs a tree or two removed, like quite a few of these holes. You can have a great woods golf hole without having lots of 10foot gaps you're expected to hit from 200 feet out. Iron Hill would still be a tight challenging course if 50 trees were removed, and it would be fairer course where skill would not have to be paired with luck when a great throw was made.
What width of fairway might a highly skilled player find reasonably challenging to hit 200 feet down the fairway? 15 feet? 6 feet? At what point is luck dominant in the outcome as opposed to skill? 1 hit out of 12 tries says luck dominates, not skill. I love woods golf and know that luck will always be a part of it, and that scrambling skill are an important part of the game. And great players miss reasonable fairways, but they don't miss them 90% of the time.
If I hit a 15 foot wide gap from 200 feet that's precision, and if I ricochet off a tree into the rough because the gap was only 10 feet wide, that's a good drive punished by chance - skill is not rewarded.

Seriously, do players get some form of medical insurance deal from their sponsors? A trip to the ER is no joke and obviously players at this level don't have a full time job that would offer insurance benifits.

I've been to the ER several times and hit hard with insurance. It was a serious question. I am just hoping they are able to get some form of coverage to help them out in times like this

I like the idea of rewarding real precision though.
