While I don’t really get the match up. I do agree with the verdict when it comes to them at their strongest. I can’t really say at their base because base for these two get kinda wonky. Especially Superman. You kinda have to use a specific version of the two or you’d have to composite them. Also I don’t know much about Thor to be honest.

The problem with videos like this that he highrolls both characters. Both scale to infinite levels of strength. Thor as a child already does. Thats just stupidwwwww And yes Thor (Odin Force, Lord Thor) was able to erase a Superman+ level Character from existence with the wave of his hand. And yes Superman was able to resist magic/reality warping in the past. But Superman also got oneshot by Magic attack before... Thats always the problem. There is no sense, no arguments you can use cause there are always these "highroll arguments" that destroy every debate. Its very hard if not impossible to know who would win cause these characters are 60 or 80years old, have 100 diffrent writers and they all write them a little diffrent... Nah there's this really nerdy thing DC fanboys do where they act like their comics are heavily backed up in science because one writer over the characters lifespan had an interest in physics. Same thing happened with Goku vs Superman. It ultimately comes down to cherry picking feats and criticizing Akira Toriyama for making a character that befriends all his enemies. Goku vs Superman ends in friendship, and this includes all good and evil iterations of superman. ALL of them would like Goku.
Even base Superman is powered by Hope, and seemingly at a level beyond conceptual. That’s the whole big discovery that Dr. Manhattan realized by trying to erase him and seeing that nothing can exist without Superman and that he would always return. He is the foundation of the DC metaverse, Base Superman canonically has plot armor. “No matter how many times Superman’s existence is attacked, he will survive. Even if change is constant. Because Hope is the North Star of the Metaverse.” And another nitpick, the crossovers are Canon, but those aren’t 616 or Earth Prime characters. I think it would've been best to compare Current Thor to Current Superman since theres already so many Thor vs. Superman videos on this site. Personally I've never really gotten why Superman vs. Thor is a debate to begin with, Thor is just Superman but with mjolnir and lightning powers. Great video

Also just to clear somethibg up, Rune King thor is on a whole different level as opposed to the king thor that battles Gorr, and narrative wise is probably higher than anything current thor has shown yet, as he undid the Ragnarok cycle and was able to easily kill mangog, loki with runes, as well as challenge those who sit in shadows (beings who eat narratives as shown in Loki god of stories run). Also you are correct the "base" thor with 2 hammers is above the other thors do to scaling better to gorr, though is really not base given he had 2 mjolnirs and thanks to them, he was capable of absorbing and amping himself with the god bomb. I would say that i should be noted that the Thors the Clarks you've mentioned aren't even the strongest versions , the current superman we have literally outscales every feat of other priors cuz nit only that he basically did and went through everything they've experienced but he also demonstrated some recent feats that are far more impressive than the others like him being able to fight off both the empty hand and true form Darkseid who scales to to highest tiers of the 6th dimension entities , but he also managed to casually absorb a dc universe that was made purely out of crisis energy which is the same energy that can retcon the cosmology and the stories , same thing with immortal Thor .
Pretty sure rune king Thor is stronger than power cosmic Thor with the Odin force. I believe rune king Thor would destroy any version of Superman. Based on the comics, rune king Thor ended the entire multiverse in order to end the rune gods reign. I may need to check my facts on all this but if I’m right rune king Thor could basically just think to himself “kill Superman” and it would be done. I'll throw this out too... the very reason why DC characters in general have so many extremely impressive feats is simply due to the fact that the writers share very little effort in making these characters consistent within their personal attributes. In one story they can't even imagine trying to accomplish something without someone else helping but then in another story they singlehandedly accomplish a similar feat. This is why Marvel characters are so relatable and have a more realistic depiction within their stories.
And when it comes to the “lifting the book of infinite pages” thing. The reason people downplay the feat with Superman & Shazam. It’s because they weren’t struggling to lift it, as they were struggling to comprehend what they were reading, on top of the fact it’s stated the pages have no weight as the pages are limbo, as limbo is a living memory. So THATS why it’s downplayed. But I don’t really care when Superman has other infinite strength feats such as lifting eternity. HOWEVER when it comes to the “Superman can’t be erased in DC” stuff. That’s only applicable while Superman is in DC & not a whole lot of evidence to establish his residences to existence eraser would work in cross verse. Unlike characters like Ghost Rider who has showcased immunity to existence eraser & it would be applicable inverse & cross verse as it’s established that only GOD himself has the power to do so to a Spirit of vengeance. As GR is a character follows the laws & rules of Christianity which is canon in marvel just like how many of our other man made myths & pantheons such as the Greek gods, Norse gods etc. with Ghost Rider, being the same character who’s beaten Both Thor & the avengers strongest members many times.
the existence erasure thing is because Superman’s narrative/strength is greater than just his physical strength. His strength comes from Hope (he embodies it), which is a greater force than the infinite darkness, which is easily high outer or higher, and he is unable to be destroyed because of that.

It don't take a 20 minute video to debate whether Thor could whup Superman. I'm not even a fan of Clark but the only Clark Thor could beat was the original from the 20s; back when Superman was only stronger than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, and faster than a speeding bullet. Any Clark beyond there will kill Thor (dare I say) in nearly all his buffs. Thor could kill Diana. He can kill Aquaman. They don't have freeze breath, can't breathe in other space, are nowhere near as fast as Superman, and don't have heat vision. I honestly see this as purely equal tbh, out of both love and respect for both characters but also common sense and powerscaling. Superman represents Hope, he is the thesis of the Comic Book Superhero however he is inspired by the religious subtext of the same kind of being which predates the concept of a Superhero: The Savior. Thor is a Savior and his Variant in Marvel is represented by that concept, both Superman and Thor are of the same kind of being, one of Hope itself. Thor is the Superman of Marvel cause Superman is based on figures such as Thor in Mythology. They revolve around each other, they are one and the same at their core. They are Hope, the Hope we all have within us and all can give one another, Hope is the winner.

Thor vs Superman is complicated. But nothing in this video actually shows that Thor would beat Superman since things with magic just get wonky. Infinity is also weird as infinity, regardless of whether we consider different sizes of infinity or not, it’s still infinity and endless. Thor vs Superman as I see it, even from this video, is close, however, I do still agree that Thor would beat Superman. Not because of feats, but because of Thor and Superman differ. Thor is god and Superman is like a god in his power. If we take Superman in the conceptual sense, and Thor in his conceptual sense, as one should in these fights unless stated otherwise, Thor wins. You can make Superman and Thor as powerful as you want, but Superman’s power is dependent on the sun. So, how powerful Superman is at one moment is going to be different than if you take him at a different moment. If you were to have them fight while both are at similar power levels, over time as Superman uses his powers, his power level will drain the more he fights especially when using his heat vision. Assuming the fight will last for a long time due to similar power levels, Superman will eventually lose to being overpowered or out-skilled by Thor. Thor’s capabilities, I’m assuming, is at least more consistent if not constant, since Thor gets his powers from mjolnr, which is always there and the power is magical. With that in mind, Thor beats Superman. However, if you take them at any given moment in terms of feats or feats, you could argue in favor either one. Of course, if you take cosmic Superman vs some version Thor, Superman would win due to the power adaptability. But that’s the exception. In any case where Superman’s abilities are dependent on the sun for the source of his power, Thor wins. Which is in the case for what we typically think of when talking about Superman. The only other exception is when Superman is around a blue sun, which increases his as abilities faster than the yellow sun. Depending on how quickly that increases Superman’s powers, he could eventually overpower Thor if he’s not taken down in time by Thor’s superior fighting skill. I don’t know if Thor has anything that increases his power practically indefinitely like Superman, but you could also say that Superman beats Thor due to being potentially limitless in power and so taking Superman at his theoretical best could take Thor down easily. However, if Thor has a similar thing, which increases his power indefinitely, you say the same thing. In which case, it goes back to the scenario wheee Thor either beats Superman because of his superior fighting skill or beats him because Superman loses enough power to where Thor just ends up over-powering him.

I agree Superman wins, but I want to put my own proof in: Raw Strength: Superman is known for accomplishing incredible Herculean feats of strength. Superman has shown 9 moon level & planters level feats of strength. He held back the moon against an ancient force that was causing the moon to fall into Earth. He has pulled the Earth alongside Green Lantern, as previously mentioned before Wonder Woman & Martian Manhunter. Pulled the Earth alongside Wonder Woman & Green Lantern in a different scenario. He’s moved the Earth into the phantom zone. He moved both the Earth & Moon. Then more recently he was able to bench press the Earth for 5 days and only barely broke a sweat. Alongside Martian Manhunter, he prevented Braniacs ship from crashing into the Earth & Brainacs ship absolutely dwarfs the Earth. I think it’s safe to say that Superman has planters level strength and probably multi-planet level strength. Striking Power: Superman has gone up against some of the most powerful beings in DC Universe. He had knocked out Mongol with just a few punches, he’s knocked out Earthman with just one punch, He knocked out Wonder Woman one punch & with that one punch me sent her from the sun all the way to the Earth with just one punch, he’s able to poke through empirics probes by himself & was a being who was able to overpower the Justice League. That’s just naming a few. Superman has been able to injure beings such as Darkseid, Doomsday, Braniac & plenty more. Superman has even been said before, that he’s able to through a punch hard enough to split apart the moon or shutter planets. Also just to clear somethibg up, Rune King thor is on a whole different level as opposed to the king thor that battles Gorr, and narrative wise is probably higher than anything current thor has shown yet, as he undid the Ragnarok cycle and was able to easily kill mangog, loki with runes, as well as challenge those who sit in shadows (beings who eat narratives as shown in Loki god of stories run).

I would say that i should be noted that the Thors the Clarks you've mentioned aren't even the strongest versions , the current superman we have literally outscales every feat of other priors cuz nit only that he basically did and went through everything they've experienced but he also demonstrated some recent feats that are far more impressive than the others like him being able to fight off both the empty hand and true form Darkseid who scales to to highest tiers of the 6th dimension entities , but he also managed to casually absorb a dc universe that was made purely out of crisis energy which is the same energy that can retcon the cosmology and the stories , same thing with immortal Thor .
Pretty sure rune king Thor is stronger than power cosmic Thor with the Odin force. I believe rune king Thor would destroy any version of Superman. Based on the comics, rune king Thor ended the entire multiverse in order to end the rune gods reign. I'll throw this out too... the very reason why DC characters in general have so many extremely impressive feats is simply due to the fact that the writers share very little effort in making these characters consistent within their personal attributes.
In one story they can't even imagine trying to accomplish something without someone else helping but then in another story they singlehandedly accomplish a similar feat. This is why Marvel characters are so relatable and have a more realistic depiction within their stories.
And when it comes to the “lifting the book of infinite pages” thing. The reason people downplay the feat with Superman & Shazam. It’s because they weren’t struggling to lift it, as they were struggling to comprehend what they were reading, on top of the fact it’s stated the pages have no weight as the pages are limbo, as limbo is a living memory. So THATS why it’s downplayed. But I don’t really care when Superman has other infinite strength feats such as lifting eternity. HOWEVER when it comes to the “Superman can’t be erased in DC” stuff. That’s only applicable while Superman is in DC & not a whole lot of evidence to establish his residences to existence eraser would work in cross verse. Unlike characters like Ghost Rider who has showcased immunity to existence eraser & it would be applicable inverse & cross verse as it’s established that only GOD himself has the power to do so to a Spirit of vengeance. As GR is a character follows the laws & rules of Christianity which is canon in marvel just like how many of our other man made myths & pantheons such as the Greek gods, Norse gods etc. with Ghost Rider, being the same character who’s beaten Both Thor & the avengers strongest members many times.
the existence erasure thing is because Superman’s narrative/strength is greater than just his physical strength. His strength comes from Hope (he embodies it), which is a greater force than the infinite darkness, which is easily high outer or higher, and he is unable to be destroyed because of that.

I honestly see this as purely equal tbh, out of both love and respect for both characters but also common sense and powerscaling. Superman represents Hope, he is the thesis of the Comic Book Superhero however he is inspired by the religious subtext of the same kind of being which predates the concept of a Superhero: The Savior. Thor is a Savior and his Variant in Marvel is represented by that concept, both Superman and Thor are of the same kind of being, one of Hope itself. Thor is the Superman of Marvel cause Superman is based on figures such as Thor in Mythology. They revolve around each other, they are one and the same at their core.

Thor vs Superman is complicated. But nothing in this video actually shows that Thor would beat Superman since things with magic just get wonky. Infinity is also weird as infinity, regardless of whether we consider different sizes of infinity or not, it’s still infinity and endless.
Thor vs Superman as I see it, even from this video, is close, however, I do still agree that Thor would beat Superman. Not because of feats, but because of Thor and Superman differ.
Thor is god and Superman is like a god in his power. If we take Superman in the conceptual sense, and Thor in his conceptual sense, as one should in these fights unless stated otherwise, Thor wins. You can make Superman and Thor as powerful as you want, but Superman’s power is dependent on the sun. So, how powerful Superman is at one moment is going to be different than if you take him at a different moment.
If you were to have them fight while both are at similar power levels, over time as Superman uses his powers, his power level will drain the more he fights especially when using his heat vision. Assuming the fight will last for a long time due to similar power levels, Superman will eventually lose to being overpowered or out-skilled by Thor.
Thor’s capabilities, I’m assuming, is at least more consistent if not constant, since Thor gets his powers from mjolnr, which is always there and the power is magical.
With that in mind, Thor beats Superman. However, if you take them at any given moment in terms of feats or feats, you could argue in favor either one.
Of course, if you take cosmic Superman vs some version Thor, Superman would win due to the power adaptability. But that’s the exception. In any case where Superman’s abilities are dependent on the sun for the source of his power, Thor wins. Which is in the case for what we typically think of when talking about Superman.
The only other exception is when Superman is around a blue sun, which increases his as abilities faster than the yellow sun. Depending on how quickly that increases Superman’s powers, he could eventually overpower Thor if he’s not taken down in time by Thor’s superior fighting skill.
I don’t know if Thor has anything that increases his power practically indefinitely like Superman, but you could also say that Superman beats Thor due to being potentially limitless in power and so taking Superman at his theoretical best could take Thor down easily. However, if Thor has a similar thing, which increases his power indefinitely, you say the same thing. In which case, it goes back to the scenario wheee Thor either beats Superman because of his superior fighting skill or beats him because Superman loses enough power to where Thor just ends up over-powering him.

After all this, after Superman is shown to be who and what he is as far as a superior being in many ways and the embodiment of Hope, let's not forget his 'S' shield. THEN, there are those who want to claim that as OP as Superman MIGHT BE, I don't think he is, that a man, a human, in a bat suit can defeat a near god. Superman is the MOST downplayed and nerfed character in all of comics, while the Dark Blight of DC is just the opposite ad nauseum.

Raw Strength: Superman is known for accomplishing incredible Herculean feats of strength. Superman has shown 9 moon level & planters level feats of strength. He held back the moon against an ancient force that was causing the moon to fall into Earth. He has pulled the Earth alongside Green Lantern, as previously mentioned before Wonder Woman & Martian Manhunter. Pulled the Earth alongside Wonder Woman & Green Lantern in a different scenario. He’s moved the Earth into the phantom zone. He moved both the Earth & Moon. Then more recently he was able to bench press the Earth for 5 days and only barely broke a sweat. Alongside Martian Manhunter, he prevented Braniacs ship from crashing into the Earth & Brainacs ship absolutely dwarfs the Earth. I think it’s safe to say that Superman has planters level strength and probably multi-planet level strength.
Striking Power: Superman has gone up against some of the most powerful beings in DC Universe. He had knocked out Mongol with just a few punches, he’s knocked out Earthman with just one punch, He knocked out Wonder Woman one punch & with that one punch me sent her from the sun all the way to the Earth with just one punch, he’s able to poke through empirics probes by himself & was a being who was able to overpower the Justice League. That’s just naming a few. Superman has been able to injure beings such as Darkseid, Doomsday, Braniac & plenty more. Superman has even been said before, that he’s able to through a punch hard enough to split apart the moon or shutter planets. He had punched health enough force that the punch was felt from the centre of the Earth to the edge of the atmosphere. He punched Bizarro all the way up to the moon & actually through the moon. Superman has completely shattered a planet by jumping off it. Cracked half a moon from one of his punches. He’s split a small moon near Saturn completely in half.
Durability: Superman takes attacks head on & come out the other side with no damage. He’s been kicked across the entire state of Utah & landed in Colorado, then punched from Metropolis to China, went from California to Tokyo, been thrown out of the moon & has been hit to the moon on several occasions. He has taken planters destruction multiple times. While weakened in a pocket universe without a yellow sun, Superman was slammed into a planet with enough force that the shockwave went out and dwarfed the planet in comparison. He had his mind swapped with Bizarro, so Supermom ended up punching his own body to the Earth and he actually came out the other end smiling about it. Submit the claw of horse which draws by the mimic of field of Earth. Basically he was getting hit by the planet itself. He has even taken punches from Superboy Prime flown through a field of Kryptonite debri flown through a red sun & kept fighting. Superboy Prime is also a Multiversal level threat. He survived the collision between apocalypse & genesis in a subsequent explosion & these 2 planets are much bigger than the Earth. It was even confirmed by the Spectre & Zeus that they dwarf entire GALAXIES.
Travel Speed: When it comes to getting from point A to point B Superman takes it. I mean Superman has flown from the edge of the Universe back to Eart in just 60 days. The observable universe is 93 billion light years across meaning it would take light 93 billion years to get across there & Superman did it in 60 days. He was even capable of momentarily keep up with Flash (Barry Allen) & Kid Flash (Wally West.) He has even outpaced light ray a new god who is fast enough to circumnavigate apocalypse thousands of times in a moment & as previously mentioned apocalypse absolutely dwarfs Earth to the point where Earth is the size of lake on apocalypse.
Combat Speed: Superman has reacted to both The Flash & Kid Flash who can move faster than the speed of light. He is able to think faster than light speed. He can measure time in microseconds, nanoseconds & attoseconds. Wonder Woman is known to be faster at combat speed than Superman. But there’s been times when he was wanted to he had blitzed Wonder Woman, blitzed Ultraman (an evil version of himself), blitzed Zod (a guy who has the exact same powers as him), Ursa, Bizarro, Black Lantern Superman. He was able to land 4000 punches on Doomsday in an instant. He’s caught professor Zoom & The Flash before. There was also a time Superman was able to keep up with a ship travelling much faster than the speed of light and was able to scan the ship to make sure there was no life on board. mean if Superman can react to people on Flashes level I’m betting he can do the same with Thor.
Stamina: As long as Superman stays under yellow sun he’s got infinite stamina. He can also replenish this energy mid battle. In fact while Superman is in fight in other words the heat of battle he actually retains more solar energy from the sun than usual.
Resistance: Supermam cam stand up to Thors lightning blasts since he’s been able to stand up to Darkseids omega beams, he took omega beams from Darkseid when he was amped up, he withstood infinity man’s energy blasts that were said to kill new gods, he’s taken blasts from Mobius, he’s withstood an energy blast of Red solar energy that busted a whole 12 miles wide, survived the source wall explosion, withstood attacks from the from the void hound which destroyed 10 star systems in his test run.
Conclusion: Superman wins.
