It shocked me to see so many american kids complaining about this video, when this part of their history is beyond touching and inspiring. I don't have the privilege of having been born in the United States, but I appreciate this kind of content so much, because it teaches a lot about the brave people who took a stand against an evil system. People in North Korea have their own underground railroad now, and i'm impressed by how this story keeps helping people even in the modern days. Don't study this with a bad mood, be proud of getting this knowledge!
PSA: if you're using computer, click on the three little dots to the right of the word 'save' under the video, then click 'open transcript' for a transcript of everything said in the video instead of having to watch the whole thing!
I find the language problematic. Africans (nobleman, chiefs, elders, healers) were kidnapped against their will and taken to North America and South America. They were not slaves, they were people who were enslaved.
u guys are being like mad that u have to watch this for school but aren’t u glad u can learn about history and the history of ur guys country like i’m african and i have to watch this because this is the history of what happened where i live and stand
No, it doesn't suck. I recently discovered the underground railroad, and as a non-american, i'm really touched by this story. I'm studying by myself, even if my country will never ask me for this knowledge at all, because it's something useful to keep in mind! If this was part of the story that made my country become what it is today, i'd be so proud of being able to honour the brave people who helped the slaves. Study with pride, young one.
blackpink in your area your comment should say “as a non-canadian, i feel touched by the story” the americans were the problem, canadians just tried to help fix it.
You seem to pride yourselves in laughing at our plight, but what comes around, your judgement is inevitable, whether you know it or not, it's upon you even as you are speaking, and this time you will not be able to escape, what now!
I had to watch this for online school to it’s ok I guess but I would not watch it if I had other choices but for what it is it’s really good hard to make really good content with historical stuff but it’s made out really good for historical content if I had to watch a historical you tube video this would probably be the one I would pick!
kev p shut up mate, it’s literal history where people fucking died, grow a pair and understand America, nor any country doesn’t have a clean record of not killing people
