@@georgemartin813 theres very conflicting reports though its hard to say for sure the Jazz and Rickenbacker can sound similar, so can the Hofner and Rickenbacker depending on the tone used The one Bass used in the Beatles with the most distinguishable sound is the Fender 6 string Bass that John and George used on some songs
For the tone, I add a bit of gain and bring up the mid. It sounds relatively accurate but should I palm mute it? On the track, the bass is really “punchy”. It was a quick attack and then backs off quickly and I can’t figure out how to get that sound. Do you think you could help me?
Use a jazz bass with both pickups on and the tone open, play with a pick near to the neck and use flat strings, that's how I play this song (for Helter Skelter is also valid, not exacly the same sound because John used a VI bass, but it sounds very similar)
This was one of the first songs I learned on bass :D
Quite a tricky place to start.
This my first song as well
EDIT:The hardest part for me was remembering what happens in certain sections
love it esp where the (heavy) chords come.
Sounds class
ポールのベースは未だにギター界でいうジミヘンだ!!
天才、独創的、左利き、ポールもジミヘンをギターで弾くなど私の狭い了見でした。あいすみません。
Perfect Bass cover 🎵✔️🇧🇷
i love this
Perfect
Nobody has the tone down like you do 🍻
Ably House: Allow me to introduce myself. All jokes aside, both he & Neil Candelora are great bassists and can really replicate Paul's basslines well.
Perfect
Brilliant
It would sound better if you played it with a jazz bass but hey- I ain't complaining.
LOVE your work!
anyway still sound same to me
Superbly done!
Amazing man!!! You are amazing! 👏
Nice to see your back on TH-cam. Awesome cover. Do you have any tabs?
I don't. Sorry about that.
Slow down the video speed and figure out the notes on your own.
Kennet Okay. Sorry for asking
Superb
Are you going to do all of the white album please do plzzzzz
I will do my best.
@@kouchugakudan could you do Helter Skelter on bass?
Sounds great. Did Paul play this on the Rickenbacker or Jazz bass? I always thought it was the Jazz.
Me too.
It was a jazz bass
He used a jazz bass in lieu of his Rick for the White Album
@@velvetwatermelon2647he used the Rick on Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da

Request:
HELTER SKELTER.
(Yes, spring for a Fender VI)
Will we see the return of the hofner?
Yes, I will use the Hofner in "Abbey Road" and "LET IT BE" albums.

Yes, you need mute with palm or sponge.
