Now I am completely baffled! Looking forward to another one of these videos once everything has opened!
Saw Illinoise in Chicago the last two performances and loved it. In the vein of the Twyla dance musicals, it is incredible with the arrangements, both music and dance acting -- it's so emotional, even more than The Notebook -- which I thought was terrible from a music and lyrics standpoint; lyrics repetitive and too literal. The season being this packed it's difficult to tell what will win. Merrily is my new fav overall musical, and really hope it does well during awards season. I worry Cabaret coming in late it'll be smash and grab awards, but hoping Groff pulls out a well-deserved win for his emotional and wide-ranging performance.
What about the Outsiders?? Getting a lot of buzz. Not Notebook.
