Excellent tutorial! I’ve worked on laptops for over 25-years and just wanted to get a quick look inside of this machine to see what is upgradable, but I watched the whole video since it was short and it was very informative! I think will be very helpful for those who don’t have so much experience and require the step-by-step instructions, not to mention that the length of the video was perfect, not too long or short with just the right amount of commentary! 👏👏👏

A J5040 would fit as well. There is a thin dual fan impeller option for that model, but it was an older integrators option we had in 2018 when we placed the stock orders. They were capable of some slight overclock and with that core the Intel UHD GFX were slightly better as well. 4TB on NVME the 4TB won't with because it is thicker because it has nand chip on both sides, and with heatsink even it won't fit, and lets say you by force make it fit, you will have issue to use because of power delivery on board (components) are not strong for that 4TB to perform.

what size ssd do i need for this laptop the asus e410?this is something google says
The other thing you'll want to check before you go out and buy a replacement SSD is your drive's form factor; you need to make sure the drive will fit in the laptop. Most laptops have 2.5-inch drives, but ultraportable notebooks may use the 1.8-inch disk size.so just wondering what size the ssd needs to be for the asus e410m

@uFixTek (there is actually a question at the end) so I have this computer (now thx to my 18 yr old with a spider Crack on the lcd smh* but the computer still works..) I mostly use it to go online to clear out one of my Gmail accounts that's consistently in danger of no more storage & decided to use this also to play my sims4 games on since the original reason to buy was to get a wfh remote position but the laptop doesn't meet most specifications for many of the positions.. I've been trying to look for memory for this laptop bc the sims4 game requires 31gb and I only have 18gb available 😒 .. I thought it could only take sata ssd but it can take the gaming or regular PCLe NVMe ssd? Because I keep getting conflicting info online and while I'm a techie to a point... this will be my 1st time adding ssd to a computer (so I'm also thanking u for this tutoral bc its mad simple .. here i thought it was gonna be hard) . Also Samsung is better than Crucial? In what ways is it faster? Because since the ram is only 4gb and sims4 can be used on 4gb although they definitely recommend 8gb but since can't upgrade ram to 8gb ... ?

Regarding your question, First of all, you can add an NVMe SSD as it utilizes the PCI-E interface. We have successfully upgraded this laptop model for clients many times. However, it's worth noting that we came across two units of this particular model that only supported m.2 SATA SSDs.
I recommend going with Samsung SSDs, specifically the Samsung Plus series, as they are known for their superior reliability and durability compared to Kingston, Adata, and Crucial. We have encountered numerous failures over years with other brands, whereas Samsung SSDs have proven to be very reliable.
Unfortunately, the RAM in this laptop is not upgradable.

ok, update the BIOS ship. then double check that is fully inserted (reinsert). also check in bios menu that sometimes they put an option for m.2 to enable or disable. if you see any m.2 option then enable it. also can you give the exact model for the laptop the full model number. because there are two models and one takes m.2 NVME and the other takes m.2 SATA (has two cuts on the pins), also this m.2 ssd are delicate against shots, or they do get defective sometimes depending the model you purchase, we purchase a lot of m.2s in a months and 1 in 15 are defective

hi. After we add m.2 drive, can we go bios and boot to that drive? i would love to try this laptop for my mother in law and would do windows 10 home (not S) on the m.2 upgrade, if possible. thank you in advance

Yes, after adding go to bios and change the boot order, or disable emms. and fresh install windows using a usb 8g and download windows media creator tool.

Yes, you can install a 512GB eMMC, but you will need to desolder the onboard chip and reball the new one (experienced BGA soldering required). However, keep in mind that the CPU in these laptops is a Celeron, which is not designed for heavy workloads.

unfortunately this is how this is a dirty move from any brand asus or hp or dell, they are all have different category for laptops the horrible cheap ones are made beautiful from outside so people don't look inside :/
the components that are used are low grade capacitors and resistors

Thank you for the feedback and your support to the channel :P
and regarding your comments yes it its horrible that they doing this, and the reason is they trying to copy the cellphone scam system!
so they can sell different versions a higher cost, for e.g same model 8gb for much higher than the cost of the 4gb extra stick.
and 16gb version at triple the cost and so on.
the companies now they dont want people to upgrade then want to categorize and resell and the war is "who can sell the most product"
take for e.g iphone 16gb version and 32gb and so on and if you knew that the emmc chip from 16gb to 128gb its only in cents for them. but they sell it to up at 300$+
same with macbook laptops now all the ram soldered on motherboard and even the ssd soldered on motherboard!
its truly sad. how they trying to scam the consumers by not breaking the law and using the ignorance of the consumers of not knowing whats going under the hood.

@@uFixTek I agree with every bit. The world is (has been) going the wrong direction for a long time now, and Apple championed planned obsolesence, and selling extra pennies for hundreds, but now it creeped into the PC market too. I mean that as in PC vs. Mac, even though Macs are still personal computers, but they pretend they are better which is another cunning marketing strategy.
It is horrible that they are making their money on landfills.
I just placed an order for my new laptop. Took me 10+ hours to pick one, in part due to the 4Gb vs 8Gb or upgrade option price gap. I mean yeah, I had some pretty particular criteria, like keyboard layout and size, but yeah, another pathetic trend...
Why did Full HD 1080 resolution became mainstream on 6 inch phones, before laptops? You can still buy 15.6", 1366x768 non-IPS laptops today. And the PC industry wonders why they are in trouble? Okay, I better stop there. Late night here is turning into early morning now.
