Mahalo nui! I truly agree! We need to help share knowledge and guide everyone on the island including locals and tourists on how to malama while enjoying our island.
I hiked it in the 80’s (grew up nearby and took the bus to Paradise Park). I understand Paradise Park is no more. But, when I used to hike the trail, you could take a refreshing dip at the base of the falls. And place a rock wrapped in a tea leaf under the falls for good luck. I take it you can’t do that anymore.
Honestly IMO this is a dull hike, and unless it's been raining, a dull finale when you reach the falls at the end. All that being said, it is a nice walk for seniors, and those bringing children along who want a short, easy stroll in the forest. But it's not a good hiking trail. Please don't confuse my dislike of the trail, with disliking your video. Your video was great, very well done and very informative. Thanks for sharing.
Totally understandable (I first done this hike after living on this island for 20 years lol). Yes, I recommend to visit this soon before Hawaii opens back up fully. Crowds can make it real busy.
This is one of the best hikes in Oahu. 15 minutes outside of Waikiki with a lot of parking. Go Early. Check out our video. There’s a couple different hikes to keep going up from the viewing spot. Follow the steps on the right at the end. Great video , keep showing us my favorite island.
Hi! Manoa falls is a hit or miss, it depends if it was raining during the days prior. Unfortunately it doesn't flow all the time since it needs rain. Our rainy season here is mid November - early April so there is a better chance during that period. But I hope you folks enjoy your stay!
We went there on 10/16, it was rain on thus day, but it was a amazing experience to hike under raining. Now we are in California, but still remembering that great time there. Will back next time.
go while it rains!!! it's incredibly amazing!!!! omg
great down to earth video- more local people need to be the ones to show and share our island

Thank you for uploading this. It made us so much more prepared for the trail!
Thank you for watching! Glad this helped!
I really like how wide and safe it is now. No slipping on the mud and rocks anymore🤙🏼
I agree! DOFAW and DLNR did a great job. Thanks for watching Gary!
The new improvements look great. It's crazy how busy it got in just a few minutes. Can't wait for the next video.
Thanks Daniel!

No worries! Yes, this trail is better seen after a recent rain. Hopefully you are able to catch it one day with a good flow. Mahalo for watching!

How hard is this trail? I dont have a fit form.
It’s pretty easy and doable, I don’t consider it hard. You can maybe feel the incline but it’s not that bad.
Yeah idk if imma go hike... I'm over here wheezing just watching the part of you kinda out of breath lol...
Haha. Super worth it after a good rain!
what time did you start the trail?
I believe we started at 7am
