I'm glad he's shipped to Australia, at least they're worried about inbreeding too much and want knew linen, while America is just, hey, even though this is just her great grandsire, let's cross her anyways. It worries me about the health of the breed, in America especially.

Well, inbreeding isn't just an American thing. The great English filly Enable is bred 2X3 to Sadler's Wells: Saddler's Wells is her great-grandsire on the direct male line, as well as her damsire (maternal grandsire). I can't think of any prominent U.S. horse that is so closely inbred, though they probably exist.

Lady you said Frosted was a champion on Turf,Wrong Frosted never ran on turf strictly a dirt racer.

You are misquoting her, actually. She said *"a star of the American turf"* -- not "a star on turf."
She is using "turf" here in the traditional sense of meaning Thoroughbred-racing-in-general, rather than referring specifically to racing on grass.
      Examples:
"American Turf Monthly" is a leading Thoroughbred handicapping magazine
book titled "The American Turf: An Historical Account of Racing in the United States, With Biographical Sketches of Turf Celebrities" (Lyman Horace, editor, published 1898)
book titled "Famous Horses of the American Turf" (Neil Newman, 1931)
book titled "The American Turf" (John H. Davis 1906)
This more generalized meaning of "turf" may be slightly old-fashioned, but it is far from unknown in the modern U.S., as is demonstrated by the magazine title. And it may be more commonly used internationally: note that this vid is an Australian production, promoting Frosted as a shuttle stallion to Australia. I am sure the woman is perfectly well aware that he was a dirt runner.
