"there were players already concerned about the current offensive threats being really restrictive in teambuilding" from what I saw with novadeaus being banned in the livestreamed tournaments there does seem to be some restrictive issues considering novadeaus was the reason luminami almost broke 50% of teams (as in went above in usage)
thats literally +3 without any CONSEQUENCES except the fact that you can't change moves, they should add some restrictions to this like more EC or maybe lower it just tiny bit. One thing for sure, hyper offense is back💀💀💀
I wouldn't say the extra restrictions are necessary. The main issue is how much damage was compensated by the 3 gajillion damage boosting abilities that were thrown into the game to make up for the poor STAB multiplier. They just gotta tone back some stuff now with these huge, more generally applicable modifiers running about

So Fire-Water move wouldn't be too persecuted. Imagine as opponent facing dark, plant Rain Team. It will restrict Fire types so much more vice versa with facing Heat Team. Resulting in potentially less diverse usages as in dealing with adversaries.
I feel this is not that big of a deal like of coerce this will change PVP but we will just have to adjust and relearn everything and get better with team building Also Jamie needs to buff or nurf some loomians but it still easy in pritty soon I feel.
