Funny you mention this ...I test drove a 2door manual Black Diamond two days ago and I smelled something almost like it was burning. I thought maybe I was rough on the clutch but I wasn’t...
I have the same 2 doors badlands manuel luxe (blend july 14) and YES sometime I smell this disgusting burnt smell. I'll check for this rear glass plug. Let me know...
The other day I caught the scent again! I totally agree, the seats feel like they are on fire lol. Wondering what the heck it is now, maybe the other side defrost tab?
@@AtlanticBuilt I'm picking up my Wildtrak on Thursday, I just left a deposit, when I did the test drive I smelled something burning and the transmission jerks sometimes. It all really confused me. Not sure if i need to pick it up 😂
Ok... so if I smell something bad... your advice is to "check back there for the little ding a ling" Sounds dangerous.... My Bronco is fine, but,, This did happen to my old 2 door Jeep wrangler. There was a kit you could buy with special glue to fix it. Obviously get the dealership to fix yours. Just saying, the bronco is not the first to have this happen.
FYI, Dealers get the top, the glass, the seals,etc.etc. All separate when they are replacing a early hard top. Somebody has to assemble all the pieces. This leaves a whole lot of room for error. Who knows what they are doing or did white all the vehicles that were parked for months. Gut tells me somebody may have had to repair some of the connections that may have been pulled loose when they transferred original back glass to new top. I would not accept a repair but demand a new glass with connectors installed by manufacturer. Don’t lay down, demand new glass!
It's been re attached, and it Looks terrible. Lol. I've seen it's happened to a few others, so I feel like even with new glass it would have a good chance of failing again.
“Ford Quality”…. The sorry part is for the prices they are demanding for these ridiculously unreliable trouble prone cars you can buy 4 or 5 20 year old cars and avoid 99% of problems
Lol… to fair… that particular job is a difficult one at the factory… 😜
Right? not a huge deal but still... lol
I have the same issue with my 2022 2 door Black Diamond 4 cyl!! Dealers never found the source!
It still has it to this day time to time! Mystery..lol

Makes you wonder eh!

My rear heated glass wires are good, so we have to think more. I always thought that smell came from heated seat. They are warm like a volcano.

Ya my bronco has that smell twice when it was new. I smelled like burnt electrical. It never did it again.
Weird eh. I feel like it still happens time to time
@@AtlanticBuiltHi, Does it still smell like burnt plastic? After 8 months?
Haha honestly I'm not sure. I feel like it does at times, but also not sure if I've just gone nose-blind to it.

No, I have not had that problem.
Built ford tough?
Nah, these are "built wild" - pretty wild huh

Crazy isn't it?
Agreed! And to add to your point, we can buy 2 new Ranger XL FX4's for the same as a Badlands Sasquatch.
Buying a first year vehicle is always a bad idea. That’s also on the consumer
@@Cr5pt0Puzzl3B0x I agree, first year woes.
