Ep. 41: Writing a Letter (ASMR no talking, writing sounds, ambiance, dip pen, wax seal, poetry) - 🎧

Hello and happy Sunday! The weather here has been inconsistently warm then bitter cold, so on the chilly days I've been focusing on quiet indoor activities that make me feel inner warmth and contentment. One such activity is calligraphy. I've been very fond of the art of writing since I was a child when my grandmother taught me some of the basics of her beautiful calligraphic style. As an adult, I started learning modern calligraphy with various instruments like brush pens, watercolor, metal nibs, and now this glass pen. I found this cool glass dip pen and some fountain pen ink online and was inspired to create a relaxing no-talking video in which I simply write out a letter with these traditional supplies and a nice warm candle.
In the video I'll go through the process of writing a letter to my hubby, starting with prepping my supplies, then flipping through a book of poems, then copying out a lovely sonnet by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Finally, I'll apply a wax seal (my favorite thing!) before calling it a night, finding my husband, and presenting him with his treasure (the husband stuff is not in this video - haha).
I have always loved the sounds of other people writing, whether with pencil, pen, marker, or calligraphy supplies. I'm glad to be sharing this part of my heart with you.
Oh, by the way, this is my first attempt at a multi-cam video. I would love your feedback on this new technique that I am super proud to have learned.

your camera work is great! definitely don’t be afraid to slow the pacing between even if the object is out of focus/distant-that sort of has its own relaxation effect itself. awesome vid though!
