Massive part of my teens...Growing up with mates..Finding new exciting paths to take..This song was always played..Im 52 now and still play it and love it...We would say " ohh turn it up...what a tune"
"It always play love songs When you're far away" ...Lost in our own little world Well the other night we put the radio on When we ran out of things we could say But it always play love songs When you're far away Forget all the lies, forget all the trouble Forget all the things that I've done And please believe like I still believe The best is yet to come...
Militia 83-87 was great days. Guest lists and Frog,Jimmy,Brett people from all over UK in vans and clogs following them nightly and dancing like fuck! Still got the tattoo. Part of me this band.
God I must've drug my sister along with me 30+ times to see these blokes! Her revenge was probably the fact that I could sing the entire catalogues of REM , the Police, Souixie and the Banshees and more, in me bloody sleep! They're all great bands but that doesn't mean every track on every lp was great. heehee! But it was worth it to see NMA live so many times. They are one of those bands which are excellent on studio versions but absolutely Unbelievably Fantastic live. In my whole life which has been overall devoted to music I've known of maybe 50 or so bands & musicians like that and it really is a kind of magical or alchemic gift. There's nothing like it. Plus Baz was so full of contradictory qualities I found him quite mesmerising! Funny how life is. Peace, Regan
thankyou ergula67 this is a classic and you have managed to capture them at the best for time , they still play and have so many more greeats but i am happy i stumbled on this gem
I wish I could say Jon Snow.. because "You Know Nothing" Roger Kay.. NMA has never left us and I dare say they're better than ever with their latest release last year. Get it.. you may see the light yet again.
@@giovannigee Couldn't agree more with you. The first few albums got me hooked but the last decade or so of their career might be Justin's finest lyrics and the rest of the band is damn solid too
@@astroterf. Hebden Bridge the steel foundry ones at start then they done snowflake black with white i could dance , fight or march in them. Still got the NMA snake and tree with sun tattoo also. Many happy days guest listing all around the UK.
@@DelStrainOriginal12Legion Nice one - those were the best days! 😊 I still had my army knapsack with the NMA logo until I lost it all in a house fire Saw the guys at Norwich in '91, one of the best gigs of my life, the best probably Still love listening to them...takes me back to a *far* better time
@@astroterf. One of the most under rated bands in the World. The lyrics are prophetic in their essence. I do like to listen to Vengeance album Young Gifted and Skint and Small Town Englands angst was class. Halcton days. They still giging now. Gonna catch them in London.
@@DelStrainOriginal12Legion oh they really are! Most people unless they were in a particular group back then have never even heard of them and they are missing so much Ghost of Cain is my go-to album...it brings back so many special memories Have a great time in London - I'll be there in spirit, clogs and all!
