- Growing up Dusty was surrounded by cigarettes and afghans and this video gives you the full scoop on it.
Don't give this video a thumbs down, that's ridiculous, if you give it a thumbs down then you hate comedy and hate yourself. Don't hate yourself, life is good. Also check out Dusty's other videos and his podcast called "We're Having a Good Time"

We’re having a good time!😂
He said he likes to remind em.. incase they forgot. 😂
Heck yeah we are!
🤚✊️
Growing up in the 80s it was perfectly acceptable to have a jacket from the Marlboro catalog and wear it to school. What a time to be alive man.
WHODEY!
Let go Buffalo!!
I had Budweiser high tops in middle school.
Lol I grew up in the 90s and i.had a Marlboro leather jacket my dad had from the catalog along with a camel bucks t shirt and I would wear them to school often. And I had this one teacher and she was always jealous of the jacket
Man what great times and how the world has changes since being a kid
I remember being so jealous of my friends Marlboro gear in elementary school lol
My grandma made afghans too. Everytime we were at her house and said we were cold she would say "cover up with that afghan over there" lol
My new favorite comedian! Dusty is the best!! I sure hope he makes it big. Definitely deserves it
Theo and this guy would be two much in one podcast together 😂
The worst thing that could happen is that he makes it big.
@@pfhastie making it big means making alot of money. I'm sure he would like to be rewarded for his hard work and talent.
@@sethbush5794 Anyway, he's exactly what you need. "We're having a good time."
@@pfhastie lol! Fair enough
My Dad operated a Pulltab company in bars and my mom was a bartender. The Marlboro joke hit home. My Dad would always have me picking up empty Marlboros and taking off the barcodes. Everywhere we went I'd grab them off the sidewalk. Garbage cans. All our camping stuff was from Marlboro. Bags and bags full of those things. Good times.
I started life on in a 14x60 trailer on Lot 186 Rock Hill Parks in $h!t$ville, Texas. Big day when we moved up into a double wide! Dad ALWAYS has a mustache to Rival Magnum P.I., worked hard everyday in a factory. BOTH grandma's crocheted afghans. Mom smoked and cashed in the coupons. I used to ride standing up in the seat of my Dad's truck. You took me right back to my childhood. I laughed so hard I could hardly breath. I remembered they are both gone from this world now, and began to laugh-cry so wildly it woke my son up. Thanks for that. It has been a long time since I could indulge in my memories with only pure joy.
Yep the ‘80s was a hell of a decade
This dude is hilarious 😂😂😂😂
His delivery is perfect. Just being himself. Love it
@@DustySlay any Georgia shows coming soon?
Seen him live he's fuckin great
Frfr blessed by the TH-cam algorithm lol
There's a show called the stand-ups on Netflix he's got an episode in the 3rd season. Worth the watch
"My folks finally smoked enough for me to start carrying some books" is great!
Afghan's are good if you have a fever. Keeps you from being chilled, but let's your sweat evaporate too.
jesus christ
He always has me crying laughing. Such a inventive comedian. His style is so fucking unique and funny. One of my favorites of all time and I seriously delve deep into comics
Holy, this is fire!!! I've got to share this with my parents. We're having a good time!
I couldn’t look away, this is Alabama 😂😂😂
“Let me see them boobs grandma” hahahahaha I’m dying
I know, right? "...this was Alabama." That's my favorite part! I repeat it right after he says it...EVERY TIME I listen to this joke & that's probably 30 times, so far! Love Dusty Slay. Namaste'.
I had a Marlboro duffle bag when I was a kid too! 🤣 it was real nice
oh hell yeah. I got the duffles, a couple hundred T-shirts, windbreakers, Camel coasters, playing cards, lighters, full set of pint glasses, little coolers, all kinds of good tobacco promos.
I own one right now!
I remember I had a Marlboro lawn chair when I was like 5. My grandma RIP used to let me smoke when I was little. No joke. Got pictures.
The World needs more of Dusty!
I LOVE DUSTY! FUNNIEST COMIC EVER!!!
"That's a Fun Joke" describes all your Jokes Dusty! I'm as always, havin' a good time!
This entire new set has been gold. Dusty entering his prime
I use to help my mom rip the tabs off the packs of cigarettes so we could get things from the catalog. Its a fond memory. That catalog was great.
So so funny Dusty Slay you have to be the funniest man aliveand most comedians aren't as half as talented as you are
i love the "just one more line" approach
You know whats crazy is this dude just described my life.
Few comics actually make me laugh out loud. Dusty does it every time. My spirit animal lived in a trailer park 😂
I'm from New England originally, and both my mother and grandmother were always knitting afghans. I'm totally with you on the design flaw of the afghan. Maybe someday, someone will enlighten us as to the reason.
It goes over another blanket. Kinda weighs it down sorta speak. I didn't learn that until I got married.
@@dano8613 So, it was never meant to be used alone, you think? Unless the holes are just for the purpose of making it lighter, I still don't get it.
It's decorative also if you put it over your sheet and under your blanket it helps trap hot air in all those holes. There's more to it but they are useful in winter and have helped keep me warm.
@@windyhawthorn7387 OK--I'll have to trust you ;-)
My grandmother and Mom always put them across the back of the couch.granny called the couch the Davenport.😇
Wow, that was an extremely high ratio of laugh to complacent smile, nary a break between comedic genius moments!
Remember there was always a drunk guy collecting those Marlboro points trying to save up for the canoe or pool table lol
Saw your first clip 4 days ago and you’re now my favorite comedian
Would you say you’re, “having a good time”?
I had an impressive collection of Earnhardt shirts as a kid. I feel you Dusty!
just found him today!!! HOOKED!
Good therapy for me Dusty, you're making me laugh out loud about my childhood... I collected Camel Bucks!!
@Jason Urchasko Yes!
My uncle bought a damn pool table with camel cash
So genuine and relatable, I love Dusty.
Dusty made himself laugh with that Itchy Net joke. Love it
There is NON-STOP laughter through this entire clip. Dusty your timing, delivery, and comedic IQ is so clean it looks effortless. Ran the set like a clinic on " how to be hilarious"
The Marlboro stuff was literally my childhood minus the Nascar tee shirts lmao
Haha the bank account stuff was on point! Crowd was too lost in their laughs to get it.
Oh geeze. I grew up poor, and I lived in a trailer for a while in the Midwest. This guy is spot on in all his jokes!!! We had stuff from the Marlboro catalog, too.
If you're parents were smoking name brand Marlboro's you weren't that poor...lol. We were so damn poor my mom smoked generic cigarettes.
Comedy is funniest when it’s relatable, meaning pretty much true. Lots of this reminds me of my childhood.
Love the humor, jokes, and delivery!! Dusty has us cracking up like crazy!! Need more Dusty's jokes and sense of humor to keep this world laughing and having fun...👍🤗
Makes me wonder where those coffee cans of pennies went. I rolled em ...came out to $9.50 a can, those were the small one pound cans. 👍👍
The basis of the trailer park kid economy.
I found this dude today
He's funny funny guy
He's not vulgar and still makes good jokes. That's one classy trailer park dweller
well said..stay classy my friend 🤵🏽♂️🥂
Thought this was gonna be a poem.
Outstanding comedian! Love you Dusty
I owned two wallets in 25 years. Both of them came from Marlboro catalog. Got them at the same time as a teenager. The first one is R.I.P. but the 2nd one is still in great condition.
Was it velcro?😂
3:20
I watch this all the time.
I own a Marlboro ski jacket , and a Marlboro pool stick .
Like our poor asses were ever going to the slopes .
When they announced the Marlboro miles program was over , my mom had my family form an assembly line and Count them all , divide them up in 1000 point piles .
I had to stand in line at the local country post office and mail them off . I was 12 or so. Should’ve seen the ladies eyes when I plopped down so many gallon bags of Marlboro miles and asked for help shipping them out .
😱 The Virginia Slims with the large styrofoam cup of half potato vodka, windows up, no options, in the half-a-million mile Volvo. While getting dropped off to middle school. 😂
Bringing back memories. Lol
I'm 54 years old and raised in Alabama. The only difference is we sent in Winston wrappers. We were a higher class than the Marlboro smokers. He is literally describing my early life. Lol
Fkn hilarious 😂 "Just kidding. Never had a car seat"
"[cough] I'll get it". One of the darkest jokes I've ever heard. I love it.
Thank you for your comedy genius! My husband & I just discovered you & we cannot quit watching! We're both from TN, but I grew up in AL & he in TN. (Yes, "he in TN" is grammatically correct to all the grammar people) We now live on the AL Gulf Coast, please come this way so we can see you in person! Also, you just accurately described the way it was when I was growing up in small town, AL. We had the nicest trailer park I've ever seen & I'm old enough to have seen a gaggle! It was a perfect oval with a playground and walking path in the middle. Keep in mind this is the early '80 & on... Each trailer was positioned at the same angle & the parking area, the front tongue of each trailer(hidden by bushes), the little lawns in front, & each side entry deck were all the same. There were probably 50-60 trailers, I didn't live there, but sure did want to! However, many of my friends did. And I spent many nights there with friends! It was always so much fun because of the community spirit. Unfortunately, an EF-5 tornado destroyed it many years after I left. They fought very hard to keep their homes when "progress" sprang up around them. But mother nature won in the end. (Btw the lots & trailers were owner occupied & a strict "Mobile" HOA was enforced.)
Honestly so glad I came across this dude, non stop hilarious! 🙌🏻
That’s right, my parents finally smoked enough for me to start carrying some books 📚 Lolol
“I’ll get it” *cough*cough* “I’ll get it” lmao 😂
"Free checking"... "joint checking" 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for keeping it relatively clean. This is hilarious. We laughed so hard!
the marlboro catalogue....sadly my parents smoked and I remember looking at this as a kid lololol
My toes would always poke through and get stuck in our afghan cover. Though it was always more for decoration I think.
We had Marlboro beach towels. Though I think we only went to the beach once when I was a kid, but we used them at the swimming pool. I remember that catalog though.
Dude it’s ridiculous how good you are at stand up and at writing material
Lordy, Lordy...I grew up in Tennessee so I relate. I laughed my tail off. You have a new fan.
Insanely tight great line after great like always havin a good time
As someone who had a grandmother that crocheted exceptional afghans.......👏🏽🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dusty come to Detroit! I want to see this guy live he’s funny as hell
Low key delivery but actually a BRILLIANT comedian.
This is one of your funniest bits. Thanks for sharing! I remember crawling around from the hatch back to the floor boards, lol
My aunt used to smoke Salem's cigarettes BUT with an actual long-stemmed cigarette holder like Auntie Mame. Made me laugh.
I live in Jasper AL. This guy is spot on! Thank you Dusty! My Alabama brother!
That’s a fun joke at the end for sure!!!
Very funny and witty. Definitely a top comedian. Trailer park Ron Burgundy is a master of callbacks.
Hilarious..I'm crying , he made me laugh so hard ....
I live in Charleston, and his StickyFinger's joke is so true
Wow I'm pretty impressed, hes going to do great in the comedy world.
Absolutely nailed it on the afghan blanket explanation! 🤣
It's really funny because they are full holes but they are absolutely some of the warmest blankets I've ever owned my afghans
Yeah I’ll say it again, funny guy! I swear I can see him on his own sitcom.
Idk if it matters . But umma black dude from the "Hood" or Urban part of Pittsburgh, And you're comedy is still totally relatable . I laughed off rip! Bravo!
Marlboro car seats? I don't think even camel cash had car seats 🤣
You are my top 5 favorite comedians of all time. The Nascar shirt had me laughing inside lmao
We were so poor the first time I went to a restaurant that advertised "home cooking" I expected to see Hamburger Helper, Chef Boyardee, and Salisbury Steak on the menu.
My mother used to knit afghans. Yeah they do serve a purpose. They're warm and you can sell them. If you knit them right there are no gaps. Mom's had fancy trim she knitted into them. She knitted afghans for decades and was darn good at it.
My grandma was mean too, she had a spray bottle if we came to her screen door wanting in she'd spray us like cats. STAY OUTSIDE!!! should've been on her headstone 😂😂😂
He just summed up my entire childhood
Damn Dusty... Tough life Bro. Much respect.
Oh damn I remember going to grandma's during a tornado
Thank you for making my childhood funny.
Love your comedy Dusty!
Genuine good comedians make me wanna try stand up because they look so comfortable and natural on stage. What they dont tell you about is the swamp of nervous sweats building in their crotch. Thank you Dusty. Keep on keepin on.
He's telling jokes but i had Marlboro sweatpants and a camel windbreaker from literally circling it in those catalogs.
Well, I’ve grad Gee ate it to the double wide and I ain’t looking back!
You forgot aluminum recycling,
Turnin’ an empty beer can into a spit cup.
Seeing you live is on my bucket list now. Someone uploaded your car joke to imgur the other day and I've been watching all of your videos on TH-cam and sharing them with my friends. (I've got premium so it's almost like I'm paying to see you live.. almost) alright we're having a good time. 👋
That’s an incredible 6 minutes Dusty! The craftsmanship is top notch. Rapidly becoming a big fan. Sending my parents to the Baton Rouge show! (Also, washing the feet had me dead. 😂)
Beautiful and believable! He wasn't damaged by his upbringing. I knew he didn't have a car seat!
Great stuff. Watching him live in a couple days
I grew up alot like this. I feel pity for people growing up in the barbie doll world and being so unhappy they chop off their own tallywhackers.
Found a new favourite comedian.
I just watched this for the 3rd time. It is so funny!!!
Thank you DUSTY
My grandma always smelt like cigarettes and tea I miss my grandma
We're having a good time... 😂😂😂👍
Amazing
As soft and casual he speaks, it's like some kind of ASMR stand-up to fall asleep too.
Dusty is the southern norm McDonald.
Yeah Dusty! Keep up the hilarious jokes and positive spirit : ) I'm starting to believe "I'm having a good time!"
Why am I just hearing this guy?
Definitely hilarious and I identify with his comedy
Everything about this kills me! Best comedian today FOR SURE!!!😂
I'm crying and probably gonna pee my pants
"I couldn't look away ' "This is Alabama" 🤣🤣🤣
