Watching this just after reading the book. So... spoilers: The voice actor for Keeton nails it. Interesting choice to show the events in reverse chronological order. Kinda fitting with chronologically agnostic way certain characters perceive events. 1:07 must be the scramblers grabbing Cunningham. I didn't even notice the scrambler crawling on him until I rewatched it after reading the book. Odd that this short film doesn't show the scrambler piloting him by his thrust trigger, since that's the detail that stood out to Keeton. Byyyye Keeton. F youuuu... Good decision to voice Keeton's inner monologue "you're sending me" here, too. 3:40: "A struggle to reconnect when my parents killed their only child". I didn't even click to how good that line was in the book. Another great choice. Someone give these people all the money. This is one of the rare works that elevates the book, rather than just cribbing off it. And it was already a great book.

This. Is. Stunning.
Absolutely brilliant. This REALLY needs to be feature-length. Astounding realization of an astounding piece of science-fiction.
...aaaand I'm gonna need to re-read it again now :D This is just phenomenal.
This is one of my favorite books, top three. Please please please will someone make this into a full length movie.
Im so pissed this isn't a complete film...so beautiful
Oh, man. This is soo good! I just wanna praise everything. The animation sold me on the aesthetic of "This is what blindsight is supposed to look like." The voice acting seemed completely normal until I blinked and realized these were _voice actors._ It caught me off guard because it just felt so authentic! I would love to see more of this, or more like this. Phenominal work!
I absolutely adore this and I hope you create a full-time movie about this phenomenal book. Good Luck!
This book leaves you pondering everything. This ‘trailer’ is spot on, though cleverly mixed up timelines
Man this is like a trailer to the best movie thats never existed. Guess i gotta go read the books
Great Stuff! Like a trailer for a full feature film. More please! Also, can't wait for an in depth vfx
making of.
Please check the supporting website covering the film’s creation process blindsight.space/
Awesome adaptation, this is one of my favorite books.
I could not agree more with Peter Watt's assessment: this is so beautiful!!
Some big shot should spend a lot of money on this team because they did so well. I'd love to see the full two-part series adapted!
Reading the book atm, I have never seen such a great cgi and mind blowing animation to tease the narrative idea of a Sci-fi novel. Great work here.
Oh, crap. I thought this was a preview of an upcoming release. This would make an absolutely incredible flick. It would be the Apocaclyse Now of Science Fiction movies.
Blindsight is my favourite exception to the rule that the unknown is always more scary. Scramblers are far more terrifying after Watts explains their nature and the full scope of their capabilities.
Bravo!
I started Blindsight yesterday and just finished it this morning. This is an amazing translation of page to screen.
Awesomely good work. Something this good, not for money, can only be a labour of love and obsession.
Outstanding!!
Fantastic! You honored my favorite book.
Wonderful! Thanks to all of you for the years of work!
Holy shit, i wasn't expecting this adaptation to be this good. Just finished the book, and i'm just absolutely wowed by not only the accuracy to the book, but also by just how amazing your visuals look. Cheers!
They expect us. What we known weighs...".

I've only just finished reading the book - this was brilliant!
This is the best thing to happen in sci-fi since, well... since the Blindsight book was published! I cannot
This is absolutely awesome. I love your interpretation. And the art. My favourite part: Sarasti's voice acting. He sounds perfectly scary. Great job, now I have to re-read Blindsight for the 4th time and buy Echopraxia.
This is a great accurate portrayal
This is an absolutely perfect piece. It makes me want to see a full adaptation.
