About Dune: Part Two:
The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on “Dune: Part Two,” the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning “Dune.” “Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

You had to hand it to the Sardaukar; it took a horde of oncoming worms to get them to run. They got a mountain blown up right on top of them and stood right back up and reformed.
I feel bad about Sardaukar ngl they just came on for doing some duty emperor but blown up and eat by worm
Great will
@elysium0093 I know but the order came from emperor by himself
@elysium0093those Sardaukar died in part 1
@elysium0093 not in a fair fight. Attacked from both sides, shield disabled, no armor but only clothes, the guild allowing for a sneak attack (...)
When i saw the Atraedis banner held high... goosebumps
IM A SUCKER FOR FLAG BEARERS AND WHEN I SAW THAT I WAS IN TEARS OF HOW GLORIOUS IT WAS
yes¡¡¡¡ the fremen with those banners waving because of the speed of the sand worms.......
It was as if the restless spirits of the fallen Atreides had returned to exact their vengeance
This wasn’t a battle, it was a massacre.
The Fedaykin were just dancing through the Sardaukar. They had never faced such an adversary that could move with such speed and precision.
With the fact that the Sardukaur were the mightiest warriors before the fremen, the galaxy is in for a world of hurt.
Which then begs the question how, worms excluding, the sardaukar was completely dwarfed by the fremen when they obviously are equally deadly, equally trained in terrible conditions, with one of them trained to be the ultimate soliders in war, and the answer to that is probably the arrogance of being at the top for too long and/or paul’s prescience, he forsees the best outcome in which his fremen jihad wins every fight against the sardaukar. In a favorable condition, a fremen and a sardaukar would probably be equally matched.
@arnodorian1620 well, Fremen got massive homefield advantage. Most Sardaukar, while deadly in general, they never faced Fremen who lived in that harsh dessert for all their lives and tamed it
@@arnodorian1620 Homefield advantage, faith, and a genuine purpose and dream to follow.
"YES, THE DUNE RISES"
FISH FISH PASTA PASTA
“That’s a big worm”
“For you”
@@sentientmustache8360 Paul to shai hulud : Do you feel in charge?
You merely adopted the sand, I was born in it.
You can really hear the fury of a thousand suns in this one.
2:15 A Wave of Warriors...
Seriously
2:14
“Well congratulations, you can ride the worms. Now what’s the next step of your master plan?”
“Crashing the throne room, with no survivors.”
"Have we freed the Spice?"
"Yes, the Spice flows."
@@canislupus3655 BANE PLS UUUU
Calm down, Irulan! Now's not the time for fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
@@canislupus3655 As does the blood.
Yeah. Serious 'Deshi Bashara' vibes. Zimmer and his team are definitely no stranger to reusing themes.
it was at this moment that i realized that the sandworms have their own leitmotif. that exact melody when the sandworms show up is exactly the same when it ate the spice harvester in p1. It's more clear here bc Paul has learned to master them, and understands them enough to weaponize them
Then you check out the track "Shai-Hulud" from the 2021 Sketchbook, it's the suite for the sandworms and it's also an underrated masterpiece
2:32 I get chills every time I watch this in theaters, the way the fremen look like they boost out of the sand in a split second is so badass
Ultimate zimmering
It's amazing that pretty much the Sardaukar and the Emperor were done with just Shai-Halud against them... They were pretty much done with the Atreides Atomic Arsenal being found... They were pretty much done with the "Grand-mother of a storm" on their doorstep... Like, in some ways, the moment they stepped foot on Arrakis they were always doomed.
The final battle was just pure decimation on all fronts.
Yeah it was like the will of the planet itself rejected them
Its just a little taste of revenge after what they did to them during midnight in arrakeen
It's pure poetic irony: by the Emperor's command, the Atreides were removed from their homeworld to a planet they nominally ruled but had no real control over. They brought their army, but were still overwhelmed by the sheer strength of the Harkonnen attack. Now the Emperor and the baron have been baited into landing with their army, thinking themselves the rulers of Arrakis, but finding themselves overwhelmed by the Fremen and the power of the planet itself.
It's crazy to think that all this bloodshed could have been avoided if everyone had just stayed at home
Now THIS is how you show a battle charge! This scene was the most hype I have seen since the Pelenor fields in LotR.
2003: FOURTH EORLINGAS.
2024: LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS
I love the scene when Sardaukar holding the flag try maintain it after being exploded
And after that worm suddenly in front of them
I just saw the movie, can't stop listening to this....
I am become death, purveyor of worms.
Hans Zimmer is the master!!
The most Hans Zimmer has ever Zimmed.
@@pratyushvaibhav8718 * Zimmered
He zimmers harder than most men
Before BR2049, I was not a fan of his work tbh, but I'm starting to understand. In fact, I fully understand his reputation now.
Dark Knight Rises + Dune = Worm Army (Perfection)
Also final battle scores from The Last Samurai and King Arthur.
Yes! Especially when the drums start playing around 2:14. The chanting also sounds quite similar to the "Deshi Basara" chant in TDKR police charge scene
H A N S I S B A C K
Thanks, was thinking about it too but i wa snot sure from wich Batman Movie he used the music... :/ I like it there, to have it on Dune im not sure i like that :/
@@rodrigoconti9239Bro, Hans never left!
The Atreides hawk flag held high was awesome--and terrifying, just like in the book (edit: oops!)
*red hawk, but your point is valid
2:19 these drums are beating into my soul
2:15 This part reminds me of Batman the Dark Knight Rises
Yeah it reminds me the pit theme
Hans Zimmer recycling his old motifs? Cannot be!
@@antona.8659he has been doing that. I remember he reused the Dark Phoenix soundtrack for DUNE Part 1. Not a big deal though, it still sounds great.
@@arse.snifferI think he was being sarcastic
@@arse.sniffer what the guy above me said.
This scene was so hype. Had chills.
This scene is the personification of Leto’s dream. “Desert power”
The Fremen are straight terrifying once they’ve united.
Look at how eagerly they jump into battle against the Harkonnen and Imperial troops, under the banner of Muad’Dib.
When those who were so cruelly oppressed are finally able to fight back, don’t expect them to show mercy.
You mean those fanatical legions manipulated by made up religion and false messiah into war for his presonal vendetta?
@@Novas9510 spoilers: it is not only for personal vendetta :) but true otherwise
The absolute euphoria on Stilgars face at the end when Paul sends the fremen to war with the Great Houses was chilling. He deserves a supporting actor award for his performance. They really nailed the fanatical aspect of the fremen allegiance to Muad’dib. I can’t imagine it being portrayed any better.
@@Jeff-tt7wjHonestly that was kind of scary because they just taken down one house. Then theyre like why wait lets get the rest of them.
even individually they are scary, in the movie there was one random fremen who almost killed a major villain like beast rabban when he tried to escape on an ornithopter, the fremen even screaming lisan al gaib before they got shot, terrified rabban for sure that he could be killed by just any fremen.
Hans zimmer is not even human 😭
He is AI
@@ps2progamer814 THOU SHALT NOT CREATE A MACHINE IN THE LIKENESS OF A HUMAN MIND
Sounds like Hans has reworked The Dark Knight Rises, “Deshi Basara” at the end of this melody but what I can also hear is at the start of the tune it gives off elements of zimmer’s “The Mole”, Dunkirk. Just me?
The scene of the worms and the Fremen army against their enemies is brutal, sublime, perfect, Hans Zimmer is a master!
Never has hans zimmered so hard until now
Easily the Most Epic Ost of the Year
1:31 for the carnage and insanity that ensues is perfect
I love how Paul just went full villain mode here. He wasn't there to save the galaxy or something, no, he's there to make a point.
Read the books, he’s not the villain and the author never intended him to be.
THERES NO MONEY HERE
“Really? Then why are you people here?”

@@enzocignetti6359 Have you seen the movie?
What a soundtrack. Hans Zimmer you are unbelievable.
Man, _The Dune Knight Rises_ is such a great movie.
2:31 the momment when my mind said "CHAAARRGGGEE!!!!!"
seeing this in imax baked was a spiritual experience
Dune 2 score really feels like Zimmer on full Zimmer-mode. There are parts of the score where it sounds similar to The Lion King, The Crimson Tide, Angels and Demons, Man of Steel/ Batman v Superman/Wonderwoman and in this song of course The Dark Knight Rises. I really enjoyed the score in theaters. Especially this Deshi Basara part. Though it got me out of the movie for a second, because I got flashbacks to the Rises scene, where the police run in the street against Bane's men.
I immediately remembered "Deshi Basara" from The Dark Knight Rises! It's Hans Zimmer, of course!
eh-shay, deh-shay bah-sah-rah, bah-sah-rah!!
For the first time in their history, fear came to the Sardaukar.
Absolutely haunting.
The moment when three giant worms emerge from the dust is monumental
Addaam reshii a-zanta! Long live the Fighters!
Fire!
The Best Moment in this movie.
the brass that kicks in at 2:32 really reminds me of Zimmers work on the original MW2

3:19 did anyone else catch the Sardaukar leitmotif (more like language) "dying out" to finish the music? amazing attention to detail
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this sounds like the Dark Knight Rises
why is hans zimmer such a perfect composer
What A Zimm! Glory To The Zimmer And His Zimm...
It's Zimmin' time

Hans Zimmer arrasando na trilha sonora deste filme.
This sound is pure beefswelling
I swear : this slaps hard.
2:25 CHAAARRRGGGE!!!!!
Thres no other track to.. Total badass sound
I love that in all of the marketing posters, there is always the one Fremen woman who I'm not sure has a name. Maybe it's just my dementia setting in, but I have no memory of hearing her name.
DUDE SAME!!!
She’s fine af whatever her name is 🙏
I'm guessing the woman you're talking about is Shishakli. Chani's friend
@1:30 judging by the trailers, this is for sure when the worms burst through the sandstorm and the Sarduakar start running.
What I was hoping. That whole scene was perfect.
0:02 those noises are relaxing
Shai-Hulud with Ripples in the Sand!
2:18 sounds to me like a subtle reference to the Toto soundtrack of the 1984 Dune movie (cf. the ending of Robot Fight)
You’re right! That was an underrated score. I keep hoping Zimmer would hint at “Final Dream.” It would blend in seamlessly.
I can hear X Men Dark Pheonix + The Dark Knight Rises , what an epic!
2:14 the best running to the finish line moment.
I came.
To hear this music! It's pretty good~
PERFECTION
This track is in 5/8 time signature, at least the second half is.
It could be 5/4.
@@georgeofhamilton well it felt like a long-short (3+2, or inverse) beats to me, instead of a straight 5 pulse (2+2+2+2+2) beats.
ShaiHulud demands a METAL VERSION!
Both Bane and Paul lead fundamentalists
The visceral subsonic 'drum sand' at the beginning of this track and it's crescendo into the battle scene is a masterstroke of music and sound design. I find the whole score's emotional architecture so commanding, but this is Zimmer at the peak of his craft. You feel the epic scale and physical majesty of the sandworms and the spiritual and cultural reverence the Fremen have for them, the rising tsunami of dread draining and depleting the Saudarkar's confidence and fanaticism, and the dawning comprehension of the terrible effects Paul's ascension to messiah will have on the galaxy beyond Arrakis and it's people. It feels like Zimmer is throwing absolutely everything he's got into imprinting Muad'Dib's Worm Army onto you - and it's unforgettable.
LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2:14 BATTLE CRY

When they asked paul why he destroyed the mountain he simply said “because it was in my way”
2:31 Stratospheric 👌💛🔥
Need 10 minute version
Anyone else here deshi deshi basara basara from Dark Knight Rises?
2:31 Kame-Hame-Has!!
One word….LISAN AL GAIB!!!!!
Is there a version without the first 30 seconds?
My favourite part of this scene was when the worms came through the dust and there's a brief 1-second shot of the Fedaykin riding it letting loose a war cry that just echoes throughout the valley before all chaos ensues. Reminded me of that one rider of Rohan in Return of the King when they charged into the Orcs.
Definitely would be Warhammer 40k song. i love Dune.
Anyone know the time signature for 2:15 onward?
sounds like a 5/8 10/8 however you want to interpret, counting from 2:31is easier, it's the same
