    Thanks a lot for explaining, this is really useful to understand why sometimes units die quickly and sometimes not. Also thanks for explaining about flag color change, which I always ignore.

    Never knew this.
    But it makes sense.
    And also makes the game even more interesting. Especially when we look at the time it is developed.
    Question:
    In another video you mention thet units also heal.
    Where and how did you find out. And also, how can you check this.
    The green beam is for food, but how can you check how much a unit is hurt?

      Hi. I just made this video th-cam.com/video/7oPAaP-fyWQ/w-d-xo.html (and wrote some code) to make this possible.

    5:06 since this is random, I have one question. In this scenerio you had 3 scouts, but what if you had 2 scouts and 1 barbarian. Is placing a barbarian in position of upper or bottom left scout (so he could attack enemy from side , thus getting direction modifier x3) most optimal?

    • @4EverTrying
      @4EverTrying  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That sounds reasonable to me. Yeah. And even when you have just a straight opening between buildings, if (for some reason) you only had 2 units there instead of 3, it's better to have the units on the left and right (have the middle empty).

    Is the food "health bar" actually also a modifier for taken or dealt damage?

    • @4EverTrying
      @4EverTrying  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure if you are asking about the hunger bar in the context of hit points due to my recent script which hacked the hunger bar to express the current remaining hit points of a unit being attacked th-cam.com/video/7oPAaP-fyWQ/w-d-xo.html , but:
      The *health bar* (hunger bar) is independent of unit *hit points* lost. Both (like almost . . . if not everything . . . in this game) are affected by a random number generator to SLIGHTLY vary their outcomes, and that may make it less clear at times for the reason why a unit died (if he was being attacked AND had no green remaining in his hunger bar).

      @@4EverTrying Ah thanks alot! Yes the question was more or less if they acted independent. So that's good to know I always tended to feed my soldiers for a big battle based on suspicion only haha

    I think it's still strange they don't necessarily die after that many hits. Even if the hits are distributed between three units, they still get a lot of hits.

    • @4EverTrying
      @4EverTrying  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is indeed strange, but in this game, when you reload saves, move units randomly on the map, make queues in the schoolhouse, place road or building plans, halt or feed troops, etc., . . . any action from your end, all contribute to the *Butterfly Effect* (especially if you do some combination of them) .
      For example, I moved troops randomly on different parts of the map to "force" the AI to die when they shouldn't have (and saved my troops from dying when they SHOULD have) when I won TSK 20 in 4 minutes 28 seconds th-cam.com/video/srP9q3gYcOs/w-d-xo.html , and I rotated and swapped out soldiers at all fronts throughout the entire game when I beat *Invasion* with 0 losses (which I doubt anyone would ever think would be possible): th-cam.com/video/6cEnMHoLm3Q/w-d-xo.html .
      So yes, this game is weird, but after you experiment enough, things start to become more "predictable" even though they are random.

      In your opinion are all but the new custom campaigns doable in the classical way with minimal AI abuse? HItting some smaller roadblocks and time is kinda scarce at the moment. Thx for the great vids on KaM.@@4EverTrying

      @@VoluntasObstinata *In your opinion are all but the new custom campaigns doable in the classical way with minimal AI abuse?*
      There are a lot of campaigns, and I am not familiar with most. But if there is a specific campaign that you are thinking of, I can take a look at the missions and take a guess (if I haven't played it before).
      *Thx for the great vids on KaM.*
      You're welcome.

      @@VoluntasObstinata From my experience it's only some campaigns and it usually happens if you start shooting at them with the archers
