The 2nd one i could see some use as a portable walking stick to shoo away stray dogs . i wouldnt rely on it to do serious damage but some light wacks will deter them away or something since carrying around a actual walking stick is annoying af. so getting some spray in your pocket and have this could be some use.
The collapsible baton is supposed to be used as a blunt point impact defense weapon. Where you use your thumb or index finger to push it down to release the locking mechanism then point it at your attacker then release so the sudden impact disoriented the attacker

I'm a trained martial artist (maybe 1.5-2 years away from black belt) and that thing would be absolutely _DEVASTATING_ under the right circumstances. It's pure steel. Hit somebody with that and it could potentially break bone. Plus, I know I actually have the capability to break bone with a single kick. In 2018, I fractured my own wrist while doing a backwards roll because my mat shoe hit my wrist. The best part? I'm very unassuming. I'm a tiny AFAB person (5'3"/5'4" 140lbs) so I'd look like an easy target to basically anyone. But I know how to do pretty nasty things if I were under pressure to protect myself.
