Lol you had me there when you spoke about friendship groups. My story is the opposite.
I used to be a mutual friend and having many friends, so every time my friend/s plan something I'd always wanna invite my other friend/s just to avoid them thinking I'm neglecting them or choosing to spend time with others and not them. Little did I know that it was causing awkwardness and uncomfortability to others, and remember I'm a mutual friend so in such events I'll be over the moon, happy that all my friends are in one place not even realizing that others were not happy with the setup, sadly I only got to be told after the friendship breakup. That hurt me even today because I used to do it with good intentions and I hate it that I some how made someone feel that way.
At least today I am cautious about it, I don't just invite all my friends in my other friends' events.
