No parent should ever have to see their child die before them. Yet Iroh strove for a second chance despite that. Zuko is his second son. You can’t replace the first but guide the second onto the right path. He is stronger than anyone in the series
The relationship between iron and s zuko was the complex part of story. However, it was the main reason why the show was worth was worth watching. Rarely do we get a villain back story, and back story when main character is going through their hero arc
"I'm not going to ask you where you went; but in the future, Nephew, I would appreciate it if you let me know whether or not you were still alive. There are actually a few of us who care about, about such things...." I have a nephew who I helped raised, granted we are 11 years apart; but I worry about him everyday.
Iroh and Zuko were more father and son in their relationship than Ozai was. Ozai saw his children as conveniences. He cared only for his power and how to obtain more. Iroh and Zuko cared for life, no matter which nation it hails from. Zuko cared for the lives of soldiers being sent to their deaths that he was forced to face Ozai in combat. Iroh didn't want to hurt anyone. He proved he was still one of the best firebenders out there to defend himself and others, but he wasn't malicious. After Lu Ten died, he abandoned his birthright and the quest for power to gain a higher form of enlightenment. Iroh may have been looked upon as a coward for abandoning the siege at Ba Sing See, but Ozai was an even bigger coward. Iroh was on the front lines of the war. Ozai stayed home. Iroh valued the lives of the soldiers under his command just as Zuko valued the lives of the 41st. Ozai and Zhao saw their soldiers as numbers.
It took less than 40 seconds to bring me to tears... this is such a wonderful tribute to the most beautiful relationship in the show. 🥹 And to THIS song?!? 😭
zuko a real one, encouraging iroh when hes at his lowest and when everyone else called him a coward he was always there for him... iroh wanted to return the favor and stay with zuko until he found himself
Has been for nearly 20 years. When I need to force myself to relax, to release, to feel my feelings? I listen to this until I cry. To finally feel, and heal, things I should have long ago.
The show was far from perfect, but I firmly believe everything they did with Zuko, Iroh, and the fire nation was. Easily the best part of the show, which I'm fine with considering Zuko and Iroh are my favorite characters in Avatar.
Can you make one of Captain Levi, including his upbringing, him and his friends living their life in the underground and his first mission as a scout, and throughout the rest of the trilogy the great leader and badass character he is.
"Everything I need is on this boat" 😭😭😭
That line hit me like a bomb
That line make him Iroh
Mean Zuko. All he need
Hey all need everyone love uncle iron best father
Like I said … ALL THE TEA I NEED HAHA 😢

No parent wants to see their kid dead but no kid wants to see their parents die either it’s a lose lose circle
Everything w
Is on boat

Zuko and Iroh stole the show. I'm glad they did my man Zuko right. I can't wait for his speech to the fire lord on Day of Black Sun
Iroh was the true father figure to Zuko
Iroh was a true father figure for us all.
"Ozai may be your father boy, but he wasn't your daddy."
The story was slightly changed but the source material stayed the same.
I had my doubts about Dallas Liu as Zuko, but man oh man, OUR PRINCE HAS RETURNED
All Hail Prince Zuko and Uncle Iroh!
The narrative of Zuko and Iroh’s relationship is one of the better parts of the Live Action Avatar the producers did right.
The show was exactly what I expected… it will never be as good as the animation, but I think it had the right intentions
"Lord Ozai may be your father boy, but he wasn't your daddy."
Beautiful work my brother. Iroh and this track always make me emotional
Thanks bro! And it's the same for me, Irons story always gets me. I hope you're doing well though man!
“A true warrior, like tea, shows his true strength in hot water.” - PROBABLY A PROVERB FROM IROH.

How dare you? You made me tearbend with the last scene.
Great edit. The casting for Zuko and Iroh was perfect. Definitely the heart of the series

Typical american quote.
