I’m an 80’s kid all we had was Roland, Jimmy, Bill Dance, and Jerry McGinnist Saturday morning on espn y’all youngsters today are spoiled with all this good fishing content you have access to
Too many distractions for kids watching fishing content nowadays. It was so much better back then IMO as a kid. They do way too much vloging and not enough fishing and dad jokes, lol.
It’s ruined a ton of great spots in my local area being broadcasted to millions of people. I haven’t touched my freshwater rods in over 5 years. Striper fishing where I live in Nj is one of the best spots in the country to catch 40-60lbers in the spring time. I don’t have it in me to take a whole day to catch a few teeny tiny large mouth bass that are overfished by everyone just to throw it back and say it’s for sport. I do it so I can eat for free.
The good ole days...YES 80's kid all the way who needs Saturday morning cartoons when you have the fab 4 of fishin!!!!
Don't forget Babe ! He did some bass fishing too . Mostly smallmouth though ? He could burn up the walleye and muskie !
We had Al Lindner too .
So true!!.. I love watching all of them.
Never forget watching Roland, Dance, Houston, and Hank on TNN with my grandmother who loved fishing.
Rob fishing with all the legends from the 80's & 90's would be a cool series
65 lb test... wtf
@@marcolizarraga7430Florida fishing
Watching the legends I learned so much. Roland Martin, Bill dance, Jimmy Houston, AL lindner, Bob Izumi. I know I'm missing a few but love these guys
Hank Parker was a good one and fishing with fish fishburn lol
Orlando Wilson and Billy Westmoreland was a couple.other good ones.
Don’t forget Jerry McGinnist Saturday morning on espn in The Fish’n hole
Babe Winkelman
This video is honestly heartwarming. To see a legend and listen to the endless dialogue and stories from him is priceless! Amazing!
I would’ve never guessed this legend was 83 yrs old. Do what makes you happy in life to keep you as young as possible❤️
Jealous you get to fish with the GOAT Roland Martin... Just listening to his old fishing stories is priceless....
Fishin was only on sunday morning TV. Awesome!
Roland is the fuckin man. Nothing but respect. Decades ago, I honestly didn't care for him. Boy was I wrong. Roland is good people.
I loooove the fact when Roland keeps asking......BIG ONE? Every time you hooked one before you reeled it in..... you can tell the passion he has. It’s amazing.
Definitely an honor to fish with Roland Martin thanks for the video at off to you. Also, Rob, you are quite a guy much liked by many.
“I’ll make sure you have plenty” taking care of a legend. Good job Rob
What was he making sure he had

Born in 71. Grew up watching this guy. We had a black and white TV and could only get 3 channels. Saturday mornings he would be on.
Dance and Jimmy also. Used to love Saturday mornings. Then cartoons would come on. lol
Gotta love ol Roland! Hes gettin around great for being in his 80's, and his mind is sharp as it can be.
I was talkin to Rick Pierce (Bass Cat owner) as we were gettin our trucks serviced in town the other day, and he was sayin Roland is as spry as he can be!
He used to come here to Bull Shoals to fish and turkey hunt every spring. I dont know if he came this year, I kinda doubt it, his buddy past away after being sick for quite awhile. But that was a spring tradition for Roland for decades.
Awesome to see Roland in his real natural element... fishing chopping it up, sharp as a tack, funny as hell... best video in a while! Great Content...
Heck yea!! ABSOLUTE LEGEND!
Seeing the boat not get unhooked at first made me laugh hysterically. I was putting my boat in one day and couldn’t figure out why the damn trailer kept floating on the back and then I had a moment and realize it was still strapped onto the trailer back. It took me a few tries to figure that one out, I am sure it was fun fishing with Roland and unforgettable moment. I’m sure.
Nothing like fishing and telling life stories, Roland is a wealth of knowledge and great guy, I did Get the pleasure of meeting and talking with him at a fishing show like four years ago. Total respect for him still fishing as much as possible at his age. 🙏
Anytime Roland is fishing on camera, I'm watching taking mental notes!!
Dang what an honor that was.. Fishing with a legend for sure!! 4 hall of fames is awesome!! I remember as a kid back in the EARLY 80’s watching him and Bill Dance.. Awesome to see he’s still out there enjoying it all these years later!! I’m in the Police Officer Hall of Fame down there in Florida.. Pretty awesome place to go visit. Great organization for helping wounded officers!! They even helped with some of my son’s college money. Great video @RobTerkla !! Stay safe down there brother!! And Stay blessed!!
I didn’t know Roland was doing guide work. He is top of my bucket list to fish with. My favorite fisherman of all time
Pretty sure is $$$worth it!!
What an awesome video! I loved just all the good conversation you kept in, even if a fish wasn't being caught!
Your videos are awesome. It was great to see you fish with Roland. I drew up watching. I have never used any googan gear. I can't wait to pick up some. I am just getting into bass fishing
I live a few miles from this marsh absolutely love fishing out there super cool to watch this legend and rob get together and just enjoy it and talk, sharing stories with eachother. Awesome video.
Roland Martin used to be my Saturday and Sunday morning ritual as a kid. The guy is a legend. Always got me pumped to hit the dock in front of my parent's lake house and catch some hawgs and monster crappie.
Damn what a day huh? Bucket List fishing with Mr Roland Martin. All gas
Crazy seeing how far you've come Rob, I remember watching you do swimming pool lure videos when you first started and had like 1000 subs. Life is crazy, congrats bro!
What an awesome interview while fishing all day. Great job Rob
Great content! Great stories and fishing, id watch this all day!
Let's go rob. Awesome channel bro. Loving all the fishing content 👌
Mount Rushmore of TV fishing. Roland Martin, Babe Winkleman, Bill Dance, Hank Parker, Jimmy Houston, Al Lindner, Jerry Mckinnis. You can’t have one without the other because they all were doing it without the technology that is out there today.
Thanks for the vid. Brought back memories .
Great video Rob!!!! I could watch it for 3-4 hrs and some
Sweet video, great to still see Legends doing their thing!
Man, that is so great fishing with Roland Martin. Come on life-changing moment congrats.

Saturday morning bass fishing... Watched Roland Martin a LOT when I was a kid!
Rolland is awesome... Florida angler here, fished a lot of the same lakes and seen him out all the time... fishing side by side. Also love seeing HOKAs on your feet! I work for HOKA out in Oregon. Great Vid rob!
I could sit all day watch roland fish and listen to all his fishing stories all freaking day and call it a successful fishing day without catching a single fish!!!!!
Nothing like fishing headwaters! One of my favorite places to go when I’m in Florida
Great video.. I used to love the helicopter lures. I used to love using them in the banjo minnow. My buddy didn't think I'd catch anything on them but I have.. 🎣🎣🎣
Nothing better than fishing and chatting with a friend.
This is the kind of videos that fit you. You definitely should do a series fishing with fishing legends.
Rob 👋🥰. I had to move in with my mom who is 81 due to dementia. She was just as spry a couple of years ago. After going through it all I'll probably kick the bucket if I don't go before her😢 Take care of yourself y'all.
Just ordered a googan 2 piece go to casting rod. I really hope I get to use it soon.
that was friggin cool session mate. even in Aussieland i have heard of Roland Jimmy Bill through tv n mags. awesome man.
80 year old "young" man.Keep fishing Roland it's the secret of youth!!
Good to see the legend still sharp and doing it.
Im from northern Wisconsin so when he said Hayward, WI that was super neat haha didnt think anyone caught big fish up here that id ever see videos of them still enjoying the sport!
Love listing to the stories from the older gens!
Not the craziest video I’ve ever seen. BUT!!! I throughly enjoyed y’all’s conversation, continue to do videos like this mixed in. Definitely one of my favorites
11:37 “why didn't he just suck it in and sit there” ayo pause😭😭😭
Dude that sign!!!! And you got to fish with my fishing HERO!!! The Goat himself Roland Martin!!! SUBSCRIBED!!!!!
I remember watxhing Roland Martin and Orlando Wilson, Bill Dance and the Bassmasters on Sundays with my dad. Such great memories. We saltwater fished and did vew bass fishing trips. Mainly we caught bluegill and sunfish for bait and never had any success in tne lakes we fished. My dad coukd get them on lures, worms, amd spinner baita. My dad uses to catch speckled trout with a spinmer bait. People started using a lure behind a float and pop, but we used Mirrrolures and zometime Loves lures amd sometimes freshwater ztuff and it worked for reds, snook and trout, we got a grand slam a few times.
you know you made it when you get to fish with Roland Martin the legend himself i grew up watching him Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston
at the part in the video where yall talk best sellers but for me your all white krakin craw, fixes all my skunked days! it's phenomenal
I grew up watching him and all the other greats in the 80s and 90s i was born in 1980 and always loved fishing because of them i had subscriptions to in fisherman and Midwest outdoors starting at 8 years old for birthday presents that's what i wanted one year and continued getting them for years back then sure was no Internet available or TH-cam
Very very cool video. Awesome stories. Loved it
65 lb test brakes if the angle of the tungsten weight is just in the right position it shears it off just thought I'd tell you from experience. And that was probably one of the greatest natural bass fishing videos I've watched in a while ,with the legend !!
Would absolutely love to see a video with Roland, bill dance, and jimmy all together fishing and telling stories. Would be an awesome video.
A Bill Dance video would be freaking amazing!! Legends!!
Good man Rob set this legend up with baits.
This is awesome dude
What a bucket list scratch off. Awesome to witness.
Nothing beats those old 90’s early 2000’s fishing shows
Enjoyed the lack of camera grabbing and left it as a 1-on-1 experience with you Mr Martin, asking him to talk about his stories and leaving us to hear about them. RIP to that 65lb line done by that mud fish lol
He gets around like he is in his 60s. That’s awesome
This is the first notification that I have gotten from your channel in over 2 years!
so awesome. the martins are awesome.
Crazy yall fishing way out there and yall have a boat sitting dang in your lap.
Love your videos brother
Lunkers representing!!
Now that right there is a cool ass outro. That's fire Bro.
LOVE IT!!
Cool vid man
Love watching Roland fish
Born and raised in florida. This is the first time ive ever seen a trolling motor on an airboat
Really ?
@jamespetit1 yea. I'm along the coast so maybe that plays a big part
dope video!
The way he cut his braid with the pliers ….. yup that’s pro 😂😂
Id love to just sit on the boat and listen to his stories all day.
Trip of a lifetime!!
Have to miss the great shows we had. As a kid I would watch and take notes better than if I was in school.
Could hear the doubt in your voice when you realized you were fishing from an airboat that day! Never second guess a legend. I wouldn’t even try bringing your aluminum boat in there. Take his word for it and respect his buddy and his honey hole
the best mornings were when these guys were on tv :)
People liking the Alabama craw is a lot of the northern guys like it, I know when I love up in Pa all my friends flipped those, that color just triggers em when they see that orange belly flash in sticks and leaves
Too funny! Mike Arnoldy is the guide I fish with all the time. He is really a great guide.
Yeap i wont forget watching roland hank bill dance jimmy houston on tnn growing up. Those were the good ole days. Shoot even bassmasters back then. And acfew other shows too
Yeah, he's a true bassmaster. He was winning tournaments before they had electronics.
Roland has some good fishing tips videos as well. Tips and tricks
Hey Rob, what an awesome Video Really loved it!!!! BTW what Rig was shown to you by Roland at 1:18
Roland is a legend!
I could sit here for hours listening to these stories
Appreciate the video
Heard him speak at the Redcrest, so kind of got a little spoiler on what y’all caught. Haha.
Would be awesome to fishing with Roland but the best part would be just talking to him about his career like you did. I can only imagine the things he has seen and done while fishing all these years.
