  • If you want to retire early, you have to get started early. Luckily, many of us have had the benefit of growing up in households where our parents taught us about money, saving, and investing. Angela Rozmyn was raised in one of these households, and when she wanted something like a bunk bed, her parents got her to work so she could split the cost of it. Clearly this has helped her even to this day as she pursues financial independence and runs the Facebook Group “Women’s Personal Finance (Women On Fire)”.
    Angela talks about financial independence, how to build wealth, investing, paying off student debt and other ways that she’s putting herself in a great financial position.

    I REALLY appreciate hearing from Angela, all she has done as a leader in the community, and her and her family’s unconventional approach to financing and living.
    I would love to hear a lot more of these unconventional stories and especially Id like to hear from a lot more creative and artistic types and what their life journeys and journeys with money look like. It can be harder for these people to make a good income at times, but also their life approach and arcs can be quite different.
    Also, their journeys to financial independence might be a bit slower at times, but with a lot richness along the way.

    Mindy! I'm Jelly of the Tesla Tequila! Woot woot Finance Mondays!!! I'm reminded of BP287 with the "boring" path to wealth for REI, and BPM1 with MMM. Buy and holders will statistically always come out on the top.

    You don't care what the other person spends money on because you don't think of it as yours. I think combining finances gets people further ahead because they do have to agree on those extra things.

    It's not about how much you earn but what you do with your money.

    In the trenches with Scott Trench? 😂 40:30 - what they get back in kind probably compensates them for the difference in potential rent they could get for that room, or even better than just that.

    Bitcoin is going to be the monetary currency of the world. It is not a get rich quick scheme. Holding it during its insane volatility is not for the feint of heart. Scott has done his Due diligence on Bitcoin. Great rant Scott. Super necessary. I can tell you have fallen down the rabbit hole. As time goes on your understanding of it will blossom.

    I'm a millionaire NYC teacher. I agree it's possible to become a millionaire on a teacher's salary.

      What percentage of your pay do you contribute to your 401k?

    • @beatricerights
      @beatricerights ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Nikolasto77 I have been maxing my contributions I think for the last fifteen years. I worked a lot of overtime and mostly lived on that. Also, brought real estate prior to maxing out my contributions. I now house hack by doing Airbnb. Please note NYC teachers salaries are one the highest in the country. The range is 65k starting and 129k top salary.

      @@beatricerights did you find that when you increased your contributions to max out your 401k, your biweekly paycheck did not decrease that much due to less taxes paid?

    • @beatricerights
      @beatricerights ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Nikolasto77 It definitely decreased but, I figured that’s money Thai would have gone to Uncle Sam I’m keeping in my TDA. TDA is our retirement program. Most of my money is in Nyc and Miami real estate. There are some teachers with two million dollars in just their retirement account. If I had that I would leave.
