Spent a good hour and a half and just couldn't beat him in NG+. Beat him first try with this build. My biggest fear is they'll patch this. I sure hope not, it actually made me enjoy fighting the king.
To those still wondering how he could do multiple realm shifts in succession like Dio in JBA: Equipping all 9 NG+ enchantments, that you get as a reward from beating the other berserkers, activates a secret ability that allows you to enter a realm shift when you enter rage mode. So the strategy here is to keep recovering rage while fighting the king B so you could keep using it. The Ares Armor makes the enemy occassionally drop healthstones that also recover rage so it is key to this strategy. It is dependent on RNG though so I equip high-Luck pommels to boost the chances. For the Waist and Bracers, I used Zoos to boost damage. I've tried other armors but so far, Zoos has been pretty consistent with the damage output compared to them. For the Relic, I used the one that recovers a bit of Rage so I could use it when king B isn't dropping as many healthstones as I wanted. I got frustrated so I used this build to finally get it over with😅
I paired this build with Lunda's chest piece and Dragon arms/ waist. The time stop works really well to build up poison, though you have to keep an eye on your remaining rage meter.
The problem with zeus builds is if you take even a single solid hit, you get 1-shotted by stacking damage multipliers ... so a no-damage run is a must. Great if you can pull it off, but frustratingly deadly if you cant.

Not gonna lie every time he goes spartan rage for a second it's like those intimidating screams that stunned the enemy for a moment. Regardless of regaining composure the enemy still gets overwhelmed with relentless beat downs.
IF you add Giptumadr's Breastplate chest armor to this then you could be realm shifting without any breaks lol , your relic will keep refreshing faster than normal .
I have a question, since you pretty much always use rage wouldnt be using the other 2 Ares pieces more effective with the extra 50% damage instead of 40% with Zeus or the difference in strength makes for the difference ? Edit : nevermind, rage has to be full to get those 50% so you want always be able to have it
Your subscribe page icon covers up most of the bottom right skills at the end so we can't really see which upgrades you put on them. Maybe show the build at the start? Or add extra less important stuff to the end after showing the skills so we can see what they are? Just a thought.

The original one activates when you have 1 enchantment from each realm equipped, which will then increase your damage when your permafrost/immolation/maelstrom perks are activated. The second version is like he said, where you get realm shift when you activate rage, on top of the buff which increases your damage when your permafrost/immolation/maelstrom are activated.

Well Gna can be trivialized via the 3+1 flame wiplash build, Hrolf by this. 😂 that loop between rage and realm shift + permafost shreds

Rond of Disruption you can equip it on shiels. In NG plus you can also buy enchantment from the store which activates similar effects.
