What a great program! Taught by teachers who believe in it and have a passion for teaching. It's good to hear the community supports this program as this is very important. It would be interesting to see in years to come how this program helped kids on their career path. To find out this is the only school in the country that has a program like this is unfortunate. It did remind me of another school in our area. Mariposa High School has a fire service program through ROP. They have their own fire equipment, class room and former fire service instructors. I was fortunate enough to be their wildland instructor for 16 years. I know of many students who went on to make the fire service a career.
