I was seriously overlooking the battlefield usefulness of the Observer unit until today. In the past I'd just make 3--4 of them set them to auto-explore and then forget about them till they die. Today I used one in combat, and I am hooked on them now. My third squad in my deathball is 2-3 Observers and my tome battle mages. They help so much with my magelock damage output and I haven't lost one of them yet. Sure you give up 2-3 damage dealer slots but you get 2-3 guaranteed marks every single round of combat that more than makes up for that. Unlike Overseers, the Observers never miss their Mark. 😉
That's so awesome to hear man! Cheers to you and your friends o/ And there's gonna be one more Reaver Build (Chaos) before I go back into "old" cultures to see how they benefit from the new stuff. If you have any particular wishes, it's your chance to nudge me towards there =)
@@Ic0nGaming 2 builds I've been trying to make are a high culture order build that plays like a sort of crusaders theme and a druid barbarian build that centers around the plant side of nature rather than the animals. Haven't been able to make them work so far but the concept behind them are what I thought would be cool.
@@Ic0nGaming exactly. I figured it could start out with the tome of zeal then go into pyromancy however it's from there that I'm trying to find the right path. The society traits could be a focus on a swarmers strategy
They look interesting on paper, but, man, I stopped several games with because of different issues. Amplyfied arrows doesn't work on Magelocks, spurt to action doesn't work on dragoons. They overall need so much babysitting to work. it's challenging, but not in the fun way. they need some serious rework tbh 😅
Thanks for the feedback! This one was recorded pretty much right after the DLC release and it somehow muddled up my audio setting and on this video I didn't notice in time. Should be okay on the other ones, but feel free to let me know if it's otherwise.
Since you are not mentioning(or I am being wierd/deaf) it so far, I will assume that you haven't seen my comments under rangers and alchemist builds, so I will repost this it of information here: you can target ground with your cannons -> increasing their effective attack range. AI is especially weak to this (btw stil would love to hear your opinion on tome of winds/feudal mages)
I tried to do this, never worked. Is there anything more involved over pressing the numbr for the attack and selecting a tile? Cause I only manage to fire on enemy units.
@@Ic0nGaming the same key as targeting foliage, ALT by default I believe. Haven't played around with cannons lately, but don't remember it being patched out

Thank you for the guide. Its making getting into this game alot easier for me and my friends. Any chance you'll be taking a look at your old builds?

@@thegrizzly6804 I can definitely see the Druid Barbarian thing. Care to explain what you mean with "Crusader Theme"? Like Zealot and Inquisitors?

Playing undead/horde ratfolk Reavers and houndmasters are working very well for me even with the nerf they got
Could you show off a construct build? I've got a decent industrious construct build going, but I kinda wanna see what other peeps got.
Did so far this one: th-cam.com/video/2jVcx3Qyx70/w-d-xo.html (Reaver Constructs)
Will work new stuff out!
I find the game a bit obtuse, but these guides help a lot!
Good info. Wanted to let you know the background game audio got really loud in some parts.
