This was a fantastic video I stumbled upon on TH-cam. I have been watching videos with my sons, as we all got into the hobby together within the last year -- though I am a long-time non-collector who has returned to collecting. This gave us a lot to think about, and we appreciate the reasoning and rationale you shared behind your choices. Thank you!
Happy you found the video, it makes hunting for comics even more fun if you have a few things of value you can look out for. I am going to try to keep doing this weekly until I burn out or run out of comics of value to highlight haha
Don't listen to the haters, everyone has their own preference when it comes to comic books. If someone hates Adam Hughs then that is on them. Your videos on the main stream comics is better then looking for small no name indie comics in my opinion.
There is very few of those indie comics that have value, so if you do love that stuff definitely look for it in dollar bins, but also its good to actually look for comics of value that you can possibly sell to cover the cost of what you keep. At least that is how I collect. My goal with these videos are to help comic fans find and afford more comics for their collections so they can enjoy the hobby even more, especially if your budget is limited.
I'm always on the hunt for those Zatanna issues, but they're always so expensive when I find them at cons! I only have #11 so far because it's my favorite cover of the run.
You know me, if I find duplicates I am trading them to you. I think I already have a full set in my collection but I got to find it lol They have become so so pricey
I am happy you appreciate them, I like to make it so everyone gets exposed to a lot of comics each video so its a great way to add a bunch of covers to look out for in your mind.
Appreciate these uploads because I am out of touch with modern books, but hunt for comics at all the places you mentioned at the beginning of the upload. Thank you for sharing!
You just have to find some of the $20-$40 issues sell them on ebay, buy some .5 Captain Marvel Comics spruce them up to 4.0 conserved then rinse and repeat haha
Love these series of videos. Always fun to watch a different perspective on comics I didn't pay much attention to. Personally, I've been trying to get a hold of the first 15 issues of Donny Cates' Venom (san issue 3 and 9 since I decided to buy those early). I started collecting mid series. Keep up the great content!
Those Venom issues right out the gate sold out and were hard to get if you did not get them day of release. But I know they are out there, with patience I think you will eventually find them for a decent price. If not just got to find another comic of value you can sell to pay for them.
Your videos are always great. I am still hunting for my 5 grail books,X-men#1, Amazing Fantasy #15,Hulk#181,TMNT#1, Amazing Spiderman #129 but the chances are slim for finding those books cause I just can't spend thousands on books.
I only have ASM 129 I need the other 4. I think the only chance I will get to find any of those cheaper would be a large collection purchase (Which is the way I have added a bunch of my larger keys to the collection) But if I did sell off a lot of the smaller keys I have dug out of dollar bins over the years I could probably buy them all. I am really bad at selling keys though I love hoarding them lol Good luck I hope you find those keys one day.
Great, as always 👍😀. And personally I love when you pick out the small indie stuff. It doesn't have to be of any value, just so much fun to find there (but I understand they have to for this serie☺️). Want all those Jason books for instance. Another tip for a later episode: Jason Vs Leatherface (all 3 issues)
I love collecting indi stuff myself and do add a bunch to my collection here and there. Yeah classic horror stuff is almost always more valuable. I did not have that set on my radar but it looks pricey, definitely add it to the next video.
That Punisher 220 was sexy fun! That Marvel Zombies amazing spiderman #50 omage peter looked scary as hell. Since your taking comments for these videos i want you to check out Batman Gotham Adventures. The Harley covers are expensive and alotta the series has high prices. Hope you mention it next time.
Your channel is a lot of fun. You seem to enjoy the hobby as an art form as opposed to an investment (though investment does play a part). Rage quit? Just give him his bottle and ask his Mom if she'll give him extra cuddles.
Yes I love the art of collecting comics, the thrill of the hunt. Its like a treasure hunt every time. I love the art and the stories and just the objects themselves. There is something that feels so special about comics to me so I enjoy them in many forms. I do appreciate that they have value and they can gain value, but that is just an added bonus. and selling comics for a profit is just a means to get to more comics hehe
You're not just some guy looking to make lot's of money, you're a fan, a lover of the art, a collector but also a business owner. If someone comes to sell you comics in your shop, we all know you will pay a fair price, but if it's in the dollar bin... it's in the dollar bin. Nothing to be mad about.
Exactly that is how I feel. If someone brings me a $20 comic I will give them $10, there is room to make some money if I need to sell it. Its fair to the seller, he is getting a good chunk of the value without the work of selling etc. And they can sell a whole pile of comics all at once instead of slowly selling one at a time. But if its in a dollar bin, then its a dollar.
I don’t get the speculator vibe either. Not a big fan of that kind of content. I thought your explanation of knowledge and awareness that can be used to trade/sell and get/buy the books you want. Big difference between searching out “hot”flavour of the week books to make money, and being aware of potentially valuable books while you hunt for the books you do want.
Exactly you got it :) I love the treasure hunt aspect of it, its so much fun to dig through a box of comics looking for comics I want for myself and a few comics of value that I could possible sell to cover the cost of all the comics I bought for myself.
Yeah I have no idea why he was so upset at me, it was kinda silly. I am am gonna make these 101 videos because it helps other collectors out find more comics of value and it helps me remember which ones to look for while hunting. Which will let me do more hunting and make more videos.

I really appreciate these videos. Packed with info that's presented in an easily absorbed method. Thanks.
I am happy you appreciate them, I like to make it so everyone gets exposed to a lot of comics each video so its a great way to add a bunch of covers to look out for in your mind.
I love these comic hunting videos. Very HELPFUL.
Happy you enjoy them, they are a lot of work but I love making them and learn myself in the process.
Appreciate these uploads because I am out of touch with modern books, but hunt for comics at all the places you mentioned at the beginning of the upload. Thank you for sharing!

Kevin, you’ve done it again. Brilliant, amazing work; incredibly well done. Thanks for these videos!
My pleasure!
Great video thanks for taking the time to show us the books and the info behind them Happy Hunting
You are very welcome

Aww thank you so much, you really rock. Thank you for the support, and happy my videos can teach you something new :)
Love these videos, so informative. Thanks as always!
You are so welcome!
Pretty informative video good job thanks...
Glad it was helpful!
Yayyyyy another one! I love these.
Happy you enjoy them. They are a lot of work but if they keep getting views I will try to find more comics of value to feature.
@@pop-comics even if they’re less frequent or have less comics total (50/25), it would still be appreciated! :)
Yeah I might cut back to 20-50 issues if the views die down, but its been pretty popular so far so I can gonna keep trying to make one a week.
great idea for a video, love that marvel zombies #2 cover
Thanks! And yeah its a great cover. The whole run is pretty awesome!
Good post
Thank you :)
Consider doing one of these videos on underground comics. One of the more obscure genre.
If you know some underground comics that have value I would love to add them to a future episode.

The Harley issues are definitely a good set to highlight
Nice video. Luv all the AH! covers.
Thank you, yeah they are lovely covers.
i recently came across an Unbelievable Gwenpool #1 Second print. Can't really find any print run info on it
I am not sure but I would think it was semi low print run.
loved this video!
Glad you liked it!!
Cool video I like these
Glad you like them!
Lately I've been focusing on all the Image titles. And Boom!
I love collecting modern Image and Boom comics, I like seeing unique and different story telling.
Well I'll be...🤯...a Friday The 13th comic❗️❗️❗️ I never knew such a thang existed...💯✔️
Yeah there are a bunch of them.
Great show my good brother!
Thanks for the visit
The rage quit voice was funny :D
I made this video long time ago I forgot what I did haha
would love to see you do more indie comics
I just need some suggestions if you have any?

Rage quit, these people are ridiculous, besides speculating on any collectible is fun. I do it with movies and video games. 😀
