Ingredients:
3 medium-sized potatoes (boiled and mashed)
1 onion (finely chopped)
2-3 green chilies (chopped)
1-inch ginger and 1 garlic
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
50 gm rice flour
250 gm gram flour (besan)
Water (for batter)
Oil (for frying)
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
Add onions, green chilies, and ginger garlic paste. Sauté until the onions are soft.
Add turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Stir well.
Add the mashed potatoes and mix everything well and set aside.
Prepare a batter by mixing gram flour, water, and a pinch of salt and soda.
Shape the potato mixture into small balls.
Dip each ball into the batter and deep fry until golden and crispy.
Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
