Korean and Japanese eyeshadows tend to be much more muted than in the west. The korean look is quite soft and glittery. If you love pigment and hate glitter its probably not for you
Blend Bunny has, I think, my most favorite Mattes of all the indie brands. Close up are Nomad Cosmetics, Bellabeautebar, Ensley Reign, and Minagerie. I can't seem to part with any from those brands. 😂 Oh and Cosmic Brushes and Fantasy Cosmetica too. The Blend Bunny shimmers overall aren't my favorite, but the mattes are a dream in my eyes. You are way stronger than I am. Great declutter!
Unleshia is specialised in glitter not mattes BUT anyway a lot of Korean releases are SUPPOSED to be very soft and gentle pigment. A wash of color. Others are supposed to be more pigmented and punchy and there are plenty brands w great pigmentation. And some brands aren't so good 😅If you know your stuff you can usually tell based on the name of the collection, season and of course the promotions what it's supposed to be. Korean brands are usually very clear on how a collection is supposed to look and feel. But I noticed this goes completely lost on Western YT and I don't know a single Western YT that isn't Asian that has a competent grasp and good understanding of Korean make up, brands and formulations. So I'd never advise anyone to fully rely or believe what any of them says. The best knowledge would actually be w Jen Phelps BUT she is currently years behind on the latest trends formulations and new brands... Unleshia is lower tier on mattes and standard shimmers. The glitters are pretty awesome if you like glitters.
Thanks for the thoughts. What motivated me to but Unleashia was a review from Nikkia Joy. Unfortunately, it wasn’t light pigment or soft, it was none and the glitters were so firmly packed, I couldn’t get anything from it which is why I mentioned I thought I got a bad batch. I have had luck with other K and J beauty brands with shadows, just not these. I might go in store and try some others from the brand, we have a lot of Asian beauty shops in NYC which let me swatch and play🧡
You decluttered so many!! Great job!!
Great collection and nice declutter!!
