Using this video I came up with the idea to make a structured dust cover for my gravity feed iron.
Just a note though, if you're putting a hot iron in this case, it can melt the fusible fleece since it's polyester. You should use strictly cotton for the batting. A plastic zipper could be harmed by heat as well. This should be used for a cold iron only.

Iron manufacturers stipulate irons should be stored on their rears...with point towards the ceiling, not resting on sole plate.
I agree, If stored on their plate they will corrode.
