I tried hard to try to include all the spy's features but i forgot something, the death feign. You'll simply fall to the ground like you died. It seems best to use this before enemies show up, and when they walk past, you can get up and attempt to kill them.

That's the case if you're playing against new players in tf2. Plus, it's not that simple. You have to know how to get around the map, notice things you can do with air strafing, notice tiny height advantages, corners, know other classes and players, the way they move and their skill level, predict what they're going to do, know which paths to take, what role to play, which people to go after, whether to run away or fight, etc. Spy in TFC vs TF2 are totally different. The TFC spy is kind of a special ops class, while the TF2 spy relies more on stealth. Also, you can still play spy with a support role, dealing large amounts of damage with the Ambassador provided your aim gets good enough.

Even if some things get old, people still care about them because sometimes the classic is the best. But some people dont know how to appreciate classics because they first played better games with higher graphics and didnt need to play these games, but we grew up with these games and its very hard to separate with them.

It's like, impossible to backstab. You have to be directly behind them. I've done that before yet almost never get backstabs.
It’s like TF2’s backstabbing. But TFC backstabbing did it right. TF2 realises on hitbox, but the hitbox is all messed up. And people can take advantage of ping to do face stabs when it favours clients side; meaning the one with low or high ping.

How did spy gets to have a shotgun and a mp-40 in tfc and then TF2 he has a revolver, Sapper, and a knife
To balance and differentiate the classes from each other. Double-barrel shotgun was too good so they had to replace it with something more reasonable, sapper still serves same purpose as the nailgun but it requires going upclose to use it so there's a bit more thought & counterplay involved now.
Same reason why they tweaked Scout and Medic alot, TFC Medic just really overshadows Scout in lots of regards (aside from specifically flag capping).

I gotta say spy does not have the inves watch but everyone does has collision so it kinda balances but not really because he still can't act like a team member of the enemy because he can't attack and having a shotgun and sub machine gun is crazy do you even need to use ur pistol other than being quiet because theres a silencer and why do u need to be quiet

Also the Spy has hallucinogenic gas grenades, and if you walk into the gas cloud you start seeing explosions, random bullets, ghosts of people will randomly appear and disappear, you'll sometimes see teammates as enemies, awesome shit like that
Tf1 disguise kit if it was in TF two
Disguising Takes 30% longer
Allows you to rag doll/fake death
Optionally make it so you can phase through enemies while disguised
Nice throwback vid...brings back nice memories of playing as a spy and feigning death in the enemy base in the 2fort stage and stabbing idiot snipers in the back or picking off idiot slow HW guys in the dust stage

Even though TFC looks like its in the future and TF2 is in the 50's. TF2 takes place after TFC. And the TFC engy is the TF2 engy's dad. Man Valve can get really weird when it comes to storylines.

@W1ndir Usually what gives me away is when i try running towards someones back, or when I run away right when I see them. Or they usually somehow see my disguise cloud go off or me uncloaking. Either way, it sometimes seems ridiculous on how players can sometimes know you're a spy.
well in the develepor commentary level in tf2, they made the game have cartoonih graphics because they didnt want it to be boring and they wanted each player class have their own distinction from eachother so the dont get confused like tfc

@deathcharge811 Facepalm. This game was based on that engine (which means a lot of things would be similiar). You could just aswell say CS 1.6 was a copy of Half Life (because they have a lot of stuff in common).
