You watch with amazement as the sky gracefully start to become a deep blue hue as the day comes to an end, soon to be engulfed by night. You can see a couple of stars starting to peak it’s way through as it gets darker.
And just like the ocean before you, you feel all these emotions start to crash down on you. Like tides clashing against the edge of a rocky ledge. Or a wave slowly pulling back and coming forth in a heavy splash. You feel the tears flow down, but you can’t seem to feel sad anymore. You feel somewhat at peace.
You smile, and start laughing through your tears. You might seem insane or high to the people passing by, but you don’t care. You’re finally happy. You’re starting to believe that everything will be okay. You’ve reached your destination.
