Ok kirk I have a question about the pump but for a b1 amd not a 4 stroke sj haha. I know you are familiar with the 2 stroke yamahas so here we go. I have a 93 b1 with a 62t 760 Ada head msd coil and cdi duel non oem mikuni 44s flow control valve and b pipe with a mod chamber. My question is I need to change the stator and impeller. Oem pump stator is chipped up and my solas impeller is to high of a pitch. I was going to go 10/16 hooker for the impeller but didn't know if I should go back oem stator or a 144 solas stator would I benefit from the the 12 vein for th extra price or would a used oem stator be fine?
I think an OEM stator would be fine. I haven't done back to back testing but I don't think the difference is that huge. In a blaster, I think you'd notice it even less since the pump is submerged more. Report your results, I'm curious how it works out for you.
What did you seal the nozzle to the pump with at 6:47?
