One of my favorite college players of all time. He was one of the first players that made 3pt shooting exciting. Him hitting a bomb was like a nasty dunk, completely hyped up the crowd.
Alex is one of the coolest brother hands down. We were friends during his days at Arkansas and when people ask me i tell them he is one of Arkansas greats the best three point shooter ever! He had a great basketball career overseas and never look back! #Legendary
He was my second favorite hog of all time, dude was a lights out shooter, also could put up a bunch of points consecutively n go on his own 16-0 runs vs opponents. My favorite hog of all time was Joe Johnson aka smooth, made everything look easy, could take games over at anytime, led us to our only SEC Tournament Championship in 2000, winning 4 games in 4 days
I remember seeing him in the JUCOs (Southern Union CC in Alabama), and he was a beast, averaging over 30 ppg. He could dunk on you in a heartbeat as well. Kinda reminds me of how Chris Jackson was at LSU..
Yes… people don’t even know about his hops… my time frame ….we all had bounce at PG …Chris Jackson Literrial Greene Lindsey hunter Tommy leveston … Willie Shears …
Fourth best guard on the 1993-1994 Razorbacks National Championship team behind Corey Beck, Clint McDaniel, and Roger Crawford. Let that sink in (Thurman played small forward).
F**k yeah. Whenever #3 was in the game I never wanted to leave the TV screen, for fear of missing something electric that he would do. At 2:45 I love the commentator's 'That's..Dillard! From a mile out!!' And in response it sounds like Dick Vitale says, "Are you s#itting me!!?" Lol
Nolan once said we don't have McDonald all Americans. We have burger king all Americans. I always loved that quote. I don't know if AL Dillard got another D1 scholarship offer. But Nolan knew what he had to offer. I always loved AL Dillard. I don't remember the exact game, I just remember AL Dillard hit a 35 foot shot. Then a few positions later AL was dribbling up court, the commentator said Dillard at the pig snout, he's in range...
I think it was in the Delaware St game where he broke the NCAA DIV I record for 3-pt FG's that he said "Once he is across half court and gets to the snout he is fair game to shoot." (Or something like that)
Also played here, for Nolan on the Arkansas Rimrockers, when Nolan brought him, McDaniel, Thurman, Dwight' Stewart, and 1 other guy. That team was only semi pro I think, but I watched a couple of games, and it was like 40 minutes of hell, pro style😂👍

My all time favorite Hog. Not the big name, not someone everyone talked about but was my favorite!

💯
Me to
Dillard n Abdul Rauf would go crazy in today's NBA...
What Lillard and Curry does today, he was doing it in 1994 🔥
He would have been a lottery pick in today's league.
Big facts …. Beck Thurmond and McDaniel ..Mayberry and Todd day …it was so many players at Arkansas …..he would have starred at any other school
@@competitivejunkie The rise of the 3 was just too late for those guys
Unlimited range, all day!
thank you for uploading this, what great memories.

A lot of people dont know, Nolan found him at a JUCO 3point shootout and dunk contest, he won both, and Nolan offered him.
creoleDJ he and my brother played together in JUCO. I watched him dropped 60 plus one night

ahhh....those were the day...
Dillard was so much fun to watch, shooting the ball from five feet behind the line (and making it!) was priceless. will never forget him.
I got the shivers watching this!
That was awesome Alex! Go! Hogs!
If you want to get in a good mood just watch this! He was a huge favorite for everyone!
Dat ninja had gun range
That 94 team was so good. Every player was good or great. Coach would substitute 5 at a time.

Yep… he would have been an all American at another school
One of THE best purest money shooters in Arkansas Basketball History! #WPS 🐗

Thx WAR Was at that DS game!!! You just knew when he shot!!! Best PURE SHOOTER I've seen!!!
This was my all time favorite team other than the 90s bulls
I loved this dude... No one shot like that back then
damn..........proud to be a Razorback
Curry before curry
I've seen Dillard 360 dunk during pre-game warmups. Smaller than Curry but more athletic for sure,
From the snout!
414 career points on three's
153 career points on two's and free throws
Ahead of his time

Dillard was a JUCO transfer. He was like 25 by the time he made it to Fayetteville

DILLARD!!!
Max reminds me of Alex Dillard with that shot of his.Dillard 40% of the 3s he shot. So proud of your effort Max!!

I loved this fuckin guy!!!
Flame thrower supreme!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dickie V said “he just shot that from the hog nostril “. I was dying😂😂. And he can dunk too. Bounce off the floor was his go to.
This was my private trainer like 3 years ago
Calling Them HOGS!
Wooo! Pig! Sooie! Razorbacks!🐗
You have :03 on the clock, down 2 with both Dillard and Pat Bradley in their prime on the court. If you had to choose, who takes the shot?
Thurman
“From the Hog’s Snout….it’s good!!!”
Call Me Mr. 3 Point!
Where he play pro ball? Google says he's a former pro ball player
Overseas.

I think you misspelled his last name. You missed the L and put a D.
No, I spelled it correctly.
@@WARMACHINE2013 Yes, I know. It was a joke. I was saying that Dillard was looking like Lillard with the deeeeep 3 ball.
Dillard was so much fun to watch in the mid-90s
