For someone wondering where to get this game.
1. You can buy a Japanese Xbox
2. You can "unlock'' the Xbox and download from the internet or buy a copy of the game from Japan.
I don't know so much about Xbox, I just giving this idea from my experience with my consoles

Nope.
All offline. I think this game get patched itself and got latest update from that file, i think (because it's emulated). I didn't know more information about that, that's all i know.
