She's legitimately an anchor for most of them and Marge encourags it. -Bart was a successful musician so Lisa hides a rescued tiger in the attic that bites him so he can't play (entirely her fault) and when he gets the money to fix it Marge guilts him to giving it to Lisa for the animals. -Bart becomes wildly successful in a new school system and Lisa finds out that lower intelligence students are being trained for low end jobs so shuts it down. Bart goes back to being terrible at school. -Homer literally does everything he can for her music, buys the saxophone, goes against the mob to get it back when he loses it in a bet, pays for her to have a local legend teacher. She claims he doesn't support her at all. In most episodes. She's a self entitled character a lot of the time

My brother had a talk like this with me once and he genuinely opened my eyes. My biggest brother is a certified genius. He is intensely intelligent, has wonderful morals, and he is a soldier for the United States. I used to be so jealous of how easy school was for him, even when he “dropped out,” enrolled online and applied to a ton of scholarships. (He dropped out for like a few weeks before kicking it online. Not true. When Bart was a toddler he was doing quite well at school but started behaving badly and stopped studying because he saw kids laughed at that. That setback was entirely his fault, for example. Bart constantly messes up his friendship with Milhouse because of how selfish he is. That setback is entirely on him. Lisa wasn't a good sister but 1) she was 8 years old and 2) she still wasn't to blame for everything even when she did do horrible things (like that one time where she ruined his musical career)
I think Lisa is forgetting about the time where Bart read his teacher’s diary and thinks a part saying “Bart has great potential” (or something similar) was about him and then really started excelling at school, she then read the diary and found out it was about a cat called Bart, and proceeds to have a mental breakdown about it because it wasn’t actually about Bart. She then tells him because she can’t help herself and then Bart’s newfound excellence proceeds to dwindle into nothingness. Whether or not she did it because she was jealous, end of the day she still saw he was doing well and thought it was good idea to potentially undo all of it just so she can feel good about him knowing the truth.

as good as it ended up, it still pains me how blind lisa was to her effect on bart int his episode, she causes untold pressure on him and doesnt see it , even her shadow caused him enough anxiety to lose this event for fuck sake, and then she goes on to win an award there after taking his spotlight and causing him to nearly die?

Honestly she did and even knowingly most of the time take over every single one of bart's few achievements. It's a pretty crappy thing to do
20:40 im 15 now, and i love story time animtors. i watched videos on the floor of my bathroon, too. i listen to them as i draw, walk my dogs, do chores, unwind. I still dont know what i want to do with my life, but i know Jaidens has been someone i watch from time to time, and it makes me hopeful for what's to come and what i can do so much regards and hope whatever happens to you in the future is good ( =＾ω＾)
